I am getting a little bit older, 46, but I am permanently stuck at 14 from drinking at such an early age.
However I have found one suplement that has seemed to make me at least feel younger. Coenzyme-Q. Its really Ubiquinone which is a chemical your body uses in the electron transport chain in cellular respiration. Energy production
Our body makes it naturally but as we age it reduces. Since its found in organ meats, the heart and liver, something I do not normally eat its not a bad idea to take as a supplement. Last time I took it all my grey went back to brown. Its real good for the heart as well1
Forever young
Neil
I can still claim 35 years old for now and I was a youngster at my first show in 1990 (I was 21). At the Fox shows, I'd say that there were 1000 fans each night college age to 25. I'd say 1/3 of the the crowd at Derek's Atlanta shows fit that bill as well. Glad to see it because the more interest and younger fans keeps the fire lit and gives us more chance of this freight train continuing.
Beacon crowds tend not to attract quite as much youth due to ticket prices....
I woke up this morning and felt like a 20 year old. I looked all over the place, but could not find one. Damn!
a pair of 24 1/2 year olds is way better than me..... wait what are we talking about? I am way better than say some in their early forties..... at least I think I am better. If I could only remember...... huh?

Art that is sooo true! I mean the post about 46 being better then a pair of 23 year olds! LOL!! I loved turning 40 two years ago. It was totally empowering. I like myself much better now then when I was in my 20's. They don't call them the Fabulous Forties for nothing.
JHawk, have a wonderful time tonight! Full report in the A.M. please!!!
I know for a fact that 46 is not old - it just can't be!
Random musings while travelling in NJ...
The stuff in MJ from 3.13.71 that happens after the drums/bass is the nicest sound that has ever been produced...well maybe that's too strong a statement, but that sure is nice...you all know that already though.
Looks like the dTb in Asheville and Athens on April 13th and 14th or so?
Man that would make for a nice road trip from Virginia down to FLA for Wanee!
Bet my wife wouldn't agree - lol!
Over and out!
OK, to fess up,
if my kids were here, they'd tell you that when I first get up in the morning, I'm like the Tin Man before they oiled him...
"oil me......ahhhhh"
I've been listening to one outstanding Mule show from 2004 - 10/21/04 St Louis - sisters the song Jealous Kind is fabulicious - I must of played that song ten times back and forth from Long Island on Saturday - sounds like an Otis Redding song but Bobby Charles wrote it, but I do not know who that is. It would work with the ABB too - Warren are you listening!!
Have a blast tonight JHawk - I am so jealous!
Me too Art - lol
Older? Schmolder!
Hell, at 46 I'm still better than a pair of 23 year olds...
There's stuff in my refrigerator older than that!
"Being in my mid 30's, I'm sure there are plenty of people who visit this GB who would consider me "older."
I've got underwear older'n that.
Four weeks from today the Sweeties will gather to pack up the short bus for destination....BEACON!!! PEOPLE CAN YOU FEEL IT? WHOOO HOOOO!!!
Thanks for clearing that up Lee. BTW, didn't mean to offend anyone with the "older" comment. Being in my mid 30's, I'm sure there are plenty of people who visit this GB who would consider me "older."
Scrolled back and didn't see a review on the GAF show in Greensboro last night,,so, here goes...First, any night with a Brother is always a treat. Gregg said right off jump street he had a cold, and when he talked, his voice sounded a tad like Mickey Mouse. He was obviously not feeling well...The highlights for me were, Multi Colored Lady, Melisssa, Oceans, and Bullets....Floyd Miles sang three tunes and Robben Ford one...I've heard rave reviews about Mr. Ford, but frankly, he wasn't hittin the note last night ...Everyone looked really tired except for Willie Weeks,,,I have,,for sure, seen better GAF shows, but ANY show at this point of the game is a good one....Bigger crowd than I was expecting for a Tuesday night gig...Maybe 2800 in a 3200 venue...Didn't get there for Tony F.......Peace,,,,,
Well, I'm not older but maybe I can help out anyway. lol
Virgil "Fire" Trucks is Butch's uncle and Derek's great uncle. I asked Derek about his Tiger hat and he indicated that he wore it because of Virgil. btw, Virgil threw two no-hitters in 1952 when he only won five games the whole season!
Go Tigers! World Series in '05! 😀
:koolaid: :koolaid:
Horace,
The name of the guitar player is Russ Barenberg and the CD title is Skip, Hop and Wobble and, as you said, it is quite good. I would definately put Barenberg in the same league as Tony Rice.
Jeff
Pitchers and catchers report today folks! Can any of you older baseball fans help me out? I've seen numerous pics of Derek wearing his Detroit Tigers baseball hat. I know it has something to do with his relation to Virgil Trucks, who happened to be one of my dad's favorite pitchers while he was with the White Sox. How exactly are Derek & Butch related to Virgil?
