I know Ya'll are right about how to buy tix, but I flat out panic, take the first tix to pop up..... Easy Michael..thank you for your kind words.....Just returned from the cemetary/Charlotte County Air Show..the Blue Angels were spectacular.... Memories of past shows, sweet solace. Please keep the FLA family of little Jessica Marie "Sissy" in your prayers, good Peacheads.......As much as it makes me a bit uncomfortable , to hear Betts' tunes played by the Brothers..I believe with all my heart, the band should consider dedicating Jessica to that sweet little girls memory.....IMHO Thank you to that sweeter than honey Peachead that called from my little home town last night....Have fun up there in Knickerbocker-world Ya'll.... We were blessed to catch Jimmie Vaughan on the beautiful waterfront of Tampa Bay, in Saint Petersburg last night.....I LOVE Jimmie.... His sugar-coated guitar licks thrill me...Like his baby-Brother Stevie, Jimmie's Blues are brilliant, crisp and clear...Hard-driving as a Harley. He treated us to a taste of his upcoming cd.... Ill be damned if the gorgeous instrumental he offered didnt have a hint of Elmore James' - Done Somebody Wrong.. with just enough pinch of Jazz added to the undercurrent of Texas Shuffle , to round it out and make it fabulous. Tyler..think about adding Jimmie to your must see list of shows.. Carol Bluefox, I saw you mention Junior Mack a couple of times..Junior is not only a fine guitar-player..he is a Gentleman. I am proud to call him friend...For those who have LIVE recordings from GABBA fest 2003, Dedicated to Brother Joe Dan Petty...Junior plays on a number or 2, during Lee Roy's set...Listen close...eapfp, Ya'll, Ca

I'm actually going to conduct some interviews tonight and watch some basketball. I'll see what I can do, but it'd be cool if someone else can guarantee that they'll do it if I can't.

"Or you could do what Fred did at Nissan back in '02-and buy a ticket from me! What was it, Fred, 15th row center?" Actually I think it was the Virginia Beach show (didn't Johnny have a party at his house before hand?). In any case, don't remember the row or seat but it was close enough to the stage that I was hearing more from the stage than from the PA.

Angelemerald, I turned down Row R seats to the Beacon in '02 and got front row center seats instead. It works.

Fred (Cleaneduphippy) is right. Or you could do what Fred did at Nissan back in '02-and buy a ticket from me! What was it, Fred, 15th row center?

Another thing to do about tickets, if you don't get good tickets early on, wait to day of the show and go to the ticket office of the venue where the band is playing. Quite often, a lot of tickets that got took off market, that the band didn't used, that didn't get "comp'ed" on a promotion, or that the ticket agencies didn't sell, get turned in and re-solded the day of the show. Granted it's first come, first served but you'll be surprised how good of seats that become available the day of the show. I live near Nissan Pavilion and I never buy tickets till the day of the show. Truth be told, the last ABB show at Nissan, I got "comp'ed" on the way in, and basically ended up sitting about 6 seats to left of the sound board. Good line of sight for seeing the band and of course, the sound couldn't have been any better.

The ABB sell out way fast. Especially when they are only doing two weekends. Last night's show was great and hanging with the Hospitality Sweeties and the rest was the best. I really mean that. Got the sense of Borthers and Sisters for sure. Also, Linnex and Jacque (and their helpers) did a fantastic job on the auction. So many wonderful things to bid on, I could have stayed there choosing night. LOL. Truly an awesome effort and a wonderful, sweet outcome. The after party was the best part of the run for me. I mean that. See yas on Tuesday for sure!

One more thing-if you try to buy more than two seats together, you can forget about getting decent seats. You will relegated to the back sections. Your best bet to get primo seats is to buy singles. It used to be a lot easier to get great seats until TM changed their system and put that damn "word box" in-all you had to do was hit the back button and refresh your screen, but TM figured that out and now it's way harder to finagle. But that's also to keep the scalpers at bay. Unfortunately they have many resources (i.e. cash and bodies) than the rest of us have...

The key to getting good seats is to TURN DOWN seats you don't want until you get the ones you do want. The ABB is not U2-tickets aren't going to sell out in 30 seconds. It is done on a random basis. As you said, Woody, the best seats that came out after you logged on were balcony seats-that is what came up on a random basis. They didn't sell the place out in a matter of 10 seconds, nor is there a conspiracy. That is just what happened to come up when you logged on-not all that was left. Lots of tickets get put back into the system when people's cards get declined, etc. So many people panic when they see any seat come up they feel they HAVE to take that one or there won't be any left. You don't-if you turn down the ones you don't want, better ones will come up if you're patient. Guaranteed. I know it's hard to be patient when you live on the West Coast and you're starved for ABB shows. However, if you think logically and take the emotion out of it (anybody who knows me will get a huge laugh out that statement) your patience will be rewarded. That said, from what I've been able to observe about Beacon ticket sales this year, there was no rhyme or reason to that fiasco. However, I know several people who did just I suggested and got great seats. If you can't get in at all, that's a whole other problem. Once you're in, DON'T TAKE THE FIRST SEATS THAT COME UP-unless they're in the front row...

I saw Berry Oakley, Jr. playing bass and singing backup on some 60s-era music performance show on PBS today. The show was going back and forth within the songs from the live show performances to old black-and-white recordings from the old days. Nice to see a family member's face. Cool! I'll bet there are some jams going on at the Beacon Hotel right about now, too. Man, I wish I was there...and yes, coot*, the Sweeties have organized a great thing!

Jim I think that you are right about Kansas. I used to do trivia on the GB. Here is one. Name the top 3 Schools in Basketball wins in the right order without using the internet.

Well, the drawings for the 2nd Annual Cosmic Raffle will happen soon. Hope lots of people have attended and entered. Interested in seeing who wins those things that I donated. I hope they all go to a good home. 🙂 Sent my raffle buying dollars to Wharfie. Then there's rumors of extra wings and large tipping at Hooters on St Paddy's Day! :fire: I'm sure he did the right thing! 😉 Big, big kudos to The Sweeties for putting a tremendous amount of effort into a great, great event. And to Bobo, I can't think of anything or anyone I'd rather help out than your sweet Cami! Hope it takes a Brinks truck to handle the donations! Oh, and is there a concert tonight? :guitarist: Why yes, I believe there is.... Hope it's a great show.

The world has come to an end. KU got beat by Bucknell last night. I think they should fire the coach and take all the scholarships away from the players. Still waiting on my phone reviews. Damn, how much could there be to do in NYC? Probably at Micky D's or Pay-Less. I saw where they did "Rain" the other night. Anyone know how that sounded?

Jimmy, I think the New Trier girls BB team is one of top teams in the US-I know they beat like the second rated team in the country (I think) not long ago. Go Lady Trevians! (Never should have changed it from the Indians-Trevians SUCKS as a mascot name)
