p.s. Carolina!!!! :spinner:
Hey there sweet family,
I've asked, and to the best of my knowledge the Big House show won't be released on DVD or CD because of all the legal wang dang involved with so many artists participating.
Take care and know that you are loved,
Lana
At The Half NC up.
Got Ill. out of their game. I think Ill. will make run second half but NC will be too much.
Go Heels !!!!
Light
I'd buy it.
I am in line behind RonB!:)
Thank you Lana for passing along the message from Jaimoe.
I am not sure how we can work this out, but I have a suggestion, if those who taped are willing to do B&P's they should include in their offer that a check/money order made out to the Big House Foundation be a requirement to get in on the offer. They could then share the show and send in the checks to the BHF? This might work, even though there would be a little extra postage involved for those willing to get the show burned.
I, too, received a package today 3/17, 3/18 & 3/19............brought tears to my eyes. THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH for thinking of me.
So many, many people here have brought such joy to my life...I thank you all from the bottom of my heart.
By the grace of God, maybe I will be in NY next March.
Local radio station is playing Beginnings & Idlewild South tonight in memory of
Berry...seems today is his birthday. So happy b'day Berry, you are missed so much by so many, many people.
And thank you to the ABB for keeping the music that touched my soul since 1969 so very much alive. For me, there is NO better band in the world and there will NEVER be better fans then the people here.
May God watch over all of us.
RE: Jaimoe's request
"so if anyone wants a tape of the show, they should make a donation to the Big House Foundation in exchange for the tape"
Does this mean, then, that there is a mechanism in place to do this? If so, where does the line start, and excuse me, but everyone else get behind me!
Ron

"to boot" Tommy, love that southern drawl ! Smiling Jack, that Bluesky must have been sweet! I always wished for OWO when El Duke (Leah, help me out here!) called in... I cant think of his name..Pitcher for the Yankees..See, thats what cost them the series..IMHO...Not playing OWO when that great relief pitcher took the mound....That would have been the pick-up they needed....
Well, once again I am completely overwhelmed by the generosity and sheer talent that is the greatest band in the land and their good fans...I received a most remarkable package in the mail today...LIVE at the Beacon march 17 (my patron St's day) march 18, and march 19....Promise I will be generous sharing.....The recording quality is flawless and the artwork is so good, methinks the Brothers need to get in touch with the artist immediately and sign him on..Only true love could inspire such as this....I wont embarrass the good Brother, I know he likes to lay low..but I will say to this old friend..I love you! THANKS!!!!
and to Brother Jaimoe..right on! well said...
To the gentle folks at HTN , please add one of the march 22 INSTANT LIVE shows, if available (along with Chuck's Christmas dvd) to my order....See Ya'll at Wannee.......eap, Ca
Southpaw, I was there! When they went to the bullpen and the guy got banged around I said if I was playing the music I would do Whipping Post. I also said I'd play Rambling Man after a base steal, and then they played Blue Sky! So my friends said it was for me.
Hey there sweet family,
A message from Jaimoe:
"Dear family,
I am writing to voice my feelings on trading tapes from the Big House Foundation Show at the Beacon on March 22. I speak only for myself – not for the Allman Brothers Band, Gov’t Mule, the Derek Trucks Band, or Oteil and the Peacemakers. This was a special benefit show, and all the musicians performed without charge, because they believe so strongly in this worthy cause. Since there are no commercial CD or DVD releases that people can buy to support the Foundation, in this particular case, I would greatly appreciate it if people did not freely trade tapes of this performance. Those in attendance paid a great deal of money to be there, so if anyone wants a tape of the show, they should make a donation to the Big House Foundation in exchange for the tape. I feel that this is right thing to do, and I urge you to give from your heart while enjoying the music. Thank you for caring about the bands and the efforts of the Big House Foundation.
Love,
Jaimoe

GO ILLINI:burnout:

Brofan, don't know if you saw it today but resident columnist and Illinois basher Dale Hofmann did a column today in the Milwaukee Urinal saying the Flatlanders should be saying thanks to Wisconsin for Milwaukee native Bruce Weber.
Weber is a total class act. This will be a great game tonight, no doubt an instant classic. Go Orange Crush, Go Illini !
Hey GB. I put this up in the Foprum under "anything goes" but I figured it would be good to post here as well. For anyone who knows our very own BaldVinny and lives in the tri state area:
Tonight on the Yes network at 8pm the reality show which will follow 4 Yankee fans through the 2005 season begins. They will travel to all 162 games and our own Bald Vinny will be one of the 4. He is a member of the famed "bleacher Creatures" at Yankee stadium and they said goodbye to him today in the Daily News. Nice pic of vinny plus they talk about how his girlfriend will handle him being on the road for 6 months. THIS IS CLASSIC!!
I emailed him last week and he said the first thing he told the rest of the people on the show "I hope you guys like the Allman Brothers!!!" It should be pretty funny. Have fun Vin!!

My feelings about the game tonight. First and foremost I want the Tarheels to win. Roy Williams deserves it. Beyond that, I want a tight game, I want both teams playing at 110%, I want the win a 1-2 point win in double overtime. In otherwords, I want the best the out of both North Carolina and Illinois. At this point, there are no losers, both teams are what's best in the NCAA.
My wife brought home the new GM CD DejaVoodoo. I was so excited until I found out she bought it for her! I wish them luck as they bounce around Europe. Must be a terrible job.
With all due respect, Chris, I really don't see the Tar Heels "throttling" the Illini.
I do, however, see 'em going down to defeat!
thanks Neil...Go Illini !!!!
