I think its the seats at the Keswick, but I really don't care what the other folks do I'm there to have a good time, I didn't recall them being noisey or discourteous that would probably be the only thing that would bug me. I'll be skippin the Allmans at the concrete venue but hopefully catch them in Atlantic Cityyyyyyyyyy been lookin for the onsale date for that one.

Don't know if anyone has posted this info or not but the ABB is listed as playing at the Austin City Limits Festival the weekend of September 23-25. The Mule is also listed as well as numerous other great acts. I'd also suggest if you have the opportunity to go see Alejandro Escovedo, do so. I spent Friday and Saturday night seeing him in Lexington, KY and he was terrific. He's a great writer and has a great band with him and seems back to himself after a severe bout with Hepatitis.

Golaith, Sorry to hear of Reverend "Buffalo" Evans passing. Thoughs and prayers go out to his family and friends and his church family. Do take comfort in knowing that God has "Welcomed Him Home". You and yours take care, Fred B.

I just got some very sad news I was asked to relay, "our" Reverend, Gerald 'Buffalo' Evans passed away this afternoon. Right now, a memorial is being scheduled for the weekend of the 18th in Macon, I'll keep everyone updated on the plans as they become known. I wish to send my deepest sympathies and condolences to Buffalo's family, and to those who knew him well. Rest easy, Buffalo... EAPFP

And Leah (BLD), thank you for trying to call me from Hunter Mtn. Maybe it's better that I wasn't available. If I would have answered my phone to ANDY HESS (OMG!), I probably would have passed out! Hess is More!!

You are right about the crowd being "watered down" at the Keswick. Gregg sort of said something to the effect that it was like a funeral in there in January...the people that we sat next to were getting upset because we were clapping and yelling for the band...go figure!

Really glad to hear about both the Allmans festival pier show finally onsale Sat. and the DTB show at the Keswick in Nov. we will be at both of those with bells on.Keswick is a great venue for Derek. The only problem I have with the Keswick is that sometimes the crowd can be ''watered'' down. I have seen Gregg there many times, dickey once, and blue floyd once also.the crowd seems not to be real into the music there. I think what it is , is that a good portion of the crowd is from the immediate area bent on just going out for dinner and some entertainment regardless of whose playing. The blue floyd show was a disaster, most people left after they found out the songs were not exact Floyd replicas. Dickeys show there was received better, but cleared out after about 2hrs. First time I have ever seen people complain about how long a show was. Does anyone feel the same about this venue or is it just me. Dereks type of music might just be too much for these people to handle. Anyway, just a thought.

Finally! Montage Mountain info. I'll be at home with my state of the art dial-up internet connection. At least TM won't have to block my IP address for looking for tickets too fast. That won't happen over 28.8K......

Hey now! Great vibe here lately. Wish I could have been in Gadsden Saturday night! Hoping that Lefty and the band will make it down here to Louisville sometime soon. I'll volunteer to help set up, pass out flyers, take the band out for dinner, whatever! I'm anxious to see and hear what all the fuss is about. So, I was wondering...is everything okay here in Hittin' The Web land with our site administrators? I've noticed some upcoming shows not getting added on the homepage, and haven't seen or heard much from Lana and Rowland for awhile. Hope all is well. Nice to see you, Bird72!! Keep on truckin', my man. 🙂
