Hi Neil! Thanks for dropping by! JFD update: Some discounted rooms have been set aside for us at Gadsden Inn & Suites for Jam weekend, Oct. 27-29. $74 rooms are $59, $64 rooms are $52. Phone 256 543 7240, tell them you're coming for the Jam for Duane. If someone particularly dense answers the phone, mention the Blues Club. Not necessary to reserve for all 3 days. If demand is good, more rooms will be set aside, and vice-versa. As mentioned in the Forum, Boogie McCain's is trying to book ABB-related bands for all 5 weekends in October. The first of these is official: Grinderswitch on Oct. 8. There should be more news real soon, stay tuned.

Those of you in the Cleveland, Ohio area - Warren will be making a special appearance at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame at Cleveland, Ohio on Monday, June 20 at 7 p.m. Warren will perform four or five songs in a 164 seat theater at the Hall of Fame which will be followed by a signing (I am so jealous). The store at the Hall of Fame will have Warren and Mule cd's available for this signing. There will also be an inverview with Warren conducted by the Hall of Fame V.P. of Education and Musicians, Warren Zanes. To win a ticket to this event you must purchase a ticket to the June 23 Govt Mule show at the Scene Pavilion. Listen to WNCX and WAPS for details. Damn - how cool is that!!

Buzzy (Tom) is a great guy and yes, he is very tall-and pretty muscular, too. He'd be a great guy to have blocking for you. I had the pleasure of meeting him (along with a lot of other great folks) in Atlanta during the Fox run last year and had no idea what challenges he and his family were facing. Where are last night's Muke reviews? WAKE UP and smell the coffee, folks!

I've had the pleasure to meet Buzzy82, a tall fellow if I remember correctly, at an DB&GS show in Asheville a couple of year ago. Seemed to be very nice. We have since lost touch, but my heart goes out to you Bro. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Those of you in Florida who need a roof beware - the Naples, Fl based company, Hawkeye Roofing Inc., has filed for bankruptcy after taking thousands of dollars for roofing jobs on hurricane damaged homes and then filing for Chapter 7 without completing the work. Their owners, LeRoy and Cindee Jenness, have previously filed for Chapter 13 in March 2003. I say be careful cause this company is still on the state'slist of licensed roofing contractors.

...Prayers and good vibes to Tom and Lisa and continued best wishes for Dave and his Mom. Even with an occasional argument here and there we still have lots and lots of great folks here who always seem to pull together when we have to because thats what families do...the rest of the occasional crap doesn't mean a thing... Hey Neil, things were getting pretty rough for you in the forum on that Skynyrd debate which never seems to go away. Hey, if you didn't like 'em you didn't like 'em, no biggie. I don't either so.....Hang tough Brother! ...Has anyone here seen The Saenger Theatre show surface yet?...I've been wondering if that one will ever see the light of day. Even in the trades forum, nothing yet. When Hophead raves like THAT about a show, well we NEED to hear it! Anyone?...Bueller? Good day all...

Rockinchic - please don't tell people to shut up here - we all have different opinions and are entitled to them - just like you are to yours - I too feel I missed a few posts or were they deleted - JHawk - don't you dare leave here!!

Jhawk, ditto on Capt.Skips post. Take a deep breath and count your blessings. I'm an arrogant idiot according to some on the forum but I'm OK with that. Considering the source I take some pride in those statements. And agree or disagree I am sure if most of us met in person we would shake hands and become friends. Brofan, it was good talkin with ya. Really happy for you that these positive changes are all taking place. We have to meet up someday. Hopefully at Red Rocks with that Stormy fellow. Or maybe on the beaches of N. Carolina! And you can pay respect to this lineup without trashing Dickey Betts, it will probably be received much better Greatscott! PUPPY! What is heshe. I want an english bulldog but Mrs. Cowboy says I can't get Fenwick.

OK, my choice to use 'dickhead' to refer to those that spoil it around here was untimely given rockinchic's comments, but it was in no way directed towards Forest Richard and his fans. Rather, it was meant to describe those that were causing Jhawk to consider leaving, nothing more. Given the sensitive climate here, ***holes would have been more PC, but whatever. In fact, my post to Jhawk was meant to discourage him from taking posts like rockinchic's too deeply. As Skip said, ya need to develop some hard skin to hang around here and let those type of posts bounce off so ya can continue to enjoy yourself while here. IMO, there's too many other serious issues in our lives to worry about to let posts here upset us and ruin the fun. Ron

In no way am I defending rockinchic's comments/beliefs, but IMO I think she is in some form regurgitating quotes that Gregg has made in the past. If I'm not mistaken, doesn't Gregg make reference to "no more dark cloud" hanging over the band in the interview section of the Beacon DVD? I believe he also makes some similar references to Dickey in his latest HTN interview. I'll have to re-read it. Although rockinchic may be ignorant concerning the history of the band, I don't think her comments were original thoughts at all. I think the majority of people here know to take posts like that with a grain of salt.
