Don't know if I'll get too much time around the "puter" this weekend, except for work. Tomorrow is a all day swim meet, Sunday I'm taking my 16 year old and her buddies to the warped tour. Of course old folks like us are not invited inside so my wife and I will cruise around Santa Barbara for the day and pick them up later (much later). Monday a block party and horseshoe tournament. Don't forget to take some time to think about how lucky we are and how many have sacrificed so much to to give us the opportunity to live in the safest, greatest place on earth. We are truly blessed. Have a safe and happy holiday. Fly the flag proudly and thank your lucky stars you are sitting where you are sitting and not in Falouja or some godforsaken s#$thole somewhere. Say a prayer for our kids who are doing just that so we can eat, drink, smoke, laugh and love in relative peace. Later

I'd like to second what Rusty said about seeing the legends while they're still here. I saw Les Paul about a year ago at the Iridium in NYC. It was an unforgettable experience. Was going to see Sonny Rollins at Piedmont Park in Atlanta about 4 years ago, but we couldn't find a parking spot within a mile of the park, so we left. I hope I get another chance to see Mr Rollins. I'd love to see Sonny Rollins and BB King on a billing w/The Allman Brothers. Horace EAPFP

Hey,brothers & sisters! Hope y'all enjoy your weekend to the fullest! I'm entertaining family from out of town ALL weekend!! Some genious(my uncle Doug)thought that 4th of July weekend seemed like a great time for a family reunion! So I am ALL family...ALL weekend!! So LOTS of outside grillin & swimming pool/sunbathing time!! We're also goin to the Cincinnati Zoo and to the Drive-Inn to see "War of the Worlds"....and then the actual reunion is on Sunday!! So a VERY busy weekend, indeed!! Thank god for big loud outdoor speakers so that the ABB will guide me through this weekend!! Everyone have a safe & fantastic Fourth of July!! And thank you to ALL of the soldiers of past & present... Good Vibes & Sunshine Daydreams!! EAPFP! ~Krishna

Jtuna, thanks for the fine package of music! Everybody have a great and safe 4th of July. Watch out for little ones around fireworks; they are depending on us adults to make good decisions.

Is it just my computers (all three) or does the text on the Guestbook roll way off to the right side of the computer on everybody's screens? Yeah, HAPPY HEAVENLY BIRTHDAY to Willie Dixon! I got to see Willie perform three days after Muddy Waters died. I even got to talk to him for a while. I saw Les Paul this past Monday night ... thinking about the two (Willie and Les) makes me regret even more that I never made it to see Ray Charles or Chet Atkins. Some of the "legends" are still out there performing. Go see 'em while you still can.

Happy July everyone! And a happy b-day to Willie Dixon, up in the sky with all those beautiful people, shine on! It is official, (congrats to "bsober") on scoring tix to summerfest front row!, and the great contribution to The Bighouse. I am going solo from Niagara Falls, NY to Summerfest, and will post in forum spare tix about how you might obtain that sec 1 row t ticket. I would like to thank people for advice about summerfest, and my travel route, keep it coming please! I can use all the "tips" you might have. I'll be leaving the night of the second(early morning, or the 3rd early <more likely. Again, thank you for your help EAPFP

Hey Rick, The photo of Duane with the old Electrovoice Microphone was probably taken just a few months before the Hourglass formed. Duane played that Tele/Strat hybrid for several years, with a Vox distortion booster strapped to the side, until that guitar was stolen while the Hourglass was on tour. I have great memories of Duane playing that guitar. Duane used to make that guitar do things that guitars weren't supposed to do in the mid 60s. We all thought that Duane and Gregg would be special, but who knew just how special? Bill

Hi all.....about Live 8: Carlos is correct. The G8 as he described is held in Scotland. There will be 10 concerts Jul 2 and 6, but this is not a fundraiser. It is merely to raise awareness for the poverty stricken country of Africa. IMHO, not only does Pink Flloyd reuniting raise awareness in itself, but Sir Paul is putting Bono and The Edge in Sgt. Pepper Suits, rumor lol, as he has rewritten the song Sgt. Pepper to coincide with "It was 20 years ago today" that Sir Bob Geldoff formed Live Aid in 1985. This is not-for-profit which merits admiration, however I wonder how they are going to fit all those egos on one stage, lol! Yeah, I think I'd rather have a Duane Allman Pic or a Brothers T-shirt! So my lawn guy comes by today to cut down some brush. I come to the door in my EAP t-shirt. He says " you an Allman Brothers fan?" I said "here's your sign." Now I have managed to make the whole town of Pittsburg think I'm a smart ass. Then he says he thought they had quit playing. I told him he needed to get out more. He then looked at me in my wheelchair and said "here's your sign." Anyone heard of that there Stonybrook CD? I have and I GOT IT!
