I was at the show. This is a must for IL. Stellar show. Mountain Jam, Dimples and Liz Reed were standouts. Thanks to the band for being so accommodating.
Thanks for the great review JNB!! Sounds like it was a stellar show, and it sure is good to see that Warren's back.
Hope everyone's havin' a great weekend!
Almost forgot........
Thank goodness that Warren Haynes is back & okay!!
We love you,Warren!
Relax a little sometimes....you definitely are entitled to a break now & then!!
Carol you sure can have your "Dreams." Mind if I have mine? What if ........ the Allmans took a page out of Skynyrd's book and go with a three guitar attack for the rest of the tour? Heck record an album? Warren, Jack P. and Derek!!! You've got to be kidding!!! Can we get an IL of this show??? Rob? JNB?
Oh yeah hello all my friends and may God bless you all.
Thanks for the great review,Joe Bell!!
You always have a way of making us feel as if we were there enjoying the show, too!
And for the record...JNB doesn't rig the HTN drawings!
At least he better not!(lol)
well, last night me and the boys played for Sang's suprise 50th birthday party( yes his wife loves him..no I don't know why..LOL)..we had a ball and went back to Sang's house and listened to LAFE on his surround sound (very cool)..then read a little GB here and crashed...but i woke up really happy to see Warren back in the saddle and such a great review of the show..y'all enjoy the rest of the weekend..:)
susea, sounds great we will keep eyes and ears peeled. Sounds like quite an event you planned.

For all of you going to Mansfield tonight, look around and listen up. The acoustic jam in the lot with the Peacheaters is *ON* we'll be there early. Won't you join us?
I didn't get to hear the London show, Joe, but the Detroit gets better every time I hear it - I knew Jack and Derek were having a great time and really pushing each other...and the IL just re-inforces that time and time again....thanks fellas. 😎
sounds like a great show last night....3guitars!!!!!!! Key to the highway,wow...5 days til the show at the beach.Welcome back Warren Haynesand I hope Jack plays the beach...nice weekend to y'all, enjoy the show ih the woods!
Great comments and review Joe!!
You don't happen to have a spare few IL's from this past week? :boomerang:
Patience may be a virtue, expect when you've got to feed that ABB jones.
this is my favorite effin band....long live the ABB.....
I hereby nominate tonight's show for one of the Hittin' the Note/ABB/Instant Live "West Best" picks...OMG what a performance! Absolutely, hands down, the best "Dimples" I have ever heard this band play. Three guitars stretching it out much further than they normally would (Jackie P just grinned when I thanked him and them for that). Those three guitars were like Angles singing and Nature crying and they gave me chill bumps all night long! After "Dimples," they went into an inspired version of "Key to the Highway" then slinked into a very, very wicked "School Girl." Warren later commented that it was unusual for the ABB to play three blues tunes in a row. These songs (along with Dreams and Mtn Jam from Detroit) were the hightlight of the tour for me so far.
It was sooo good to see Warren. He looked rested and calm, yet focused as always. His playing and his vibe was awe inspiring! He was very missed and his absence made us all appreciate him even more. God Bless you Warren Haynes!
Jack Pearson really did himself and the ABB proud this week. With no rehersals he came in and helped take songs to places that they never would have gone. Jack thought that the Detroit and London shows were the best ones for him. It was bittersweet saying thank you and good bye to such a fine gentleman. You should have heard the kind, heartfelt praise that Jaimoe had to say about this past week with JP.
Derek was...Derek! Simply otherworldly. When he wants to take us to another planet he can and tonight the combination of all three guitars took me to another universe. Did I say I liked the show?!
It was a new beginning and a new ending all wrapped into one tonight. A very spirited and sentimental occassion - lots of love and laughter flowing along with the music. Boston and New York are on the horizon - this band is peaking...
Congratulations to Wharfrat on winning the Hittin' the Note front row ticket raffle!!! Very cool to have a guestbook member win!. Thank you for subscribing to Hittin' the Note! Thanks also to Cujo and Jim B. for handing out HTN flyers!
See ya'll in Mansfield - come by the HTN tent and say hi...
JNB
