Our local newspaper reports our charities swamped with stuff they already got plenty of (used clothes), not enough of what is needed most (new clothes, especially underwear, socks, and small appliances). I haven't done anything more than poke a few bucks in various collection jars, so I'm going over to the Salvation Army Sat. morning, find out what is really needed, go by Wal-Mart, donate something somehow referencing Clay and family. Just an idea.

"come on people now, smile on your Brother, everybody get together, try to love one another, right now"..... Clay, glad to see you posting....I realize things will not get better anytime soon, but remember, you are in our prayers, and yes, one day..you will look into the eyes of Grandchildren, or maybe Grand nephews and nieces..and you will see the eyes of loved ones lost, peering back at you through the eyes of Heaven.....This I know to be true. 2 facts...Make of them what you will..... Here in Punta Gorda.....the federal response was equally as slow....This, despite the fact that 90% of the population here is wealthy Government retirees, FBI, Military and such...The type of people that demand immediate attention..... just "over the tracks" in what is a small, plighted area...the mostly Black and poor elderly populations are being pushed out to make room for additional high rise condos and expanded medical centers as well as expanding Mortuaries...With so much of the population eldery..Funerals are as big a business here as medicine is. I m wondering if there is any LIVE Cowboy music available for b&p trade out there......Anyone? eap, Ca

Bill: Check you internet connection settings in Windows. If you can access the internet and other web sites, but not this one, more than likely it is through a security setting. Y'all..... I figured a way I can raise enough money to help out all of the victims...I am going to travel the U.S. to all of the ABB gigs with a dunking booth, and all my friends can take turns throwing baseballs and trying to dunk me! I mean, I should be able to raise a buck or two (million) that way, right??? I know, a few of you are already warming up....to the batters cage!!!

I know this is small potatoes compared to everything else on here, but I have been unable to log in on my home computer for two weeks now. I've tried everything on the log-in check list, and still no luck. I emailed Rowland and the message came back with an error message about the address. If Lana or Rowland see this message, I sure would appreciate some help. I'm logged in at the library, which is the only place I can do this. Thanks for any help you can offer. Just don'y send PMs because I can't get them.

I keep hearing the "race card" being played over and over by the NAACP and Jesse Jackson, & others of such mindset. Even Oprah with her inference to "these people". I do not know one person helping, volunteering, donating, praying, that has anything on their mind but help. I am just sick of hearing the black racist spread their venom. It is with surprise that I see anyone on this site claim racism. Surely, no one here believes that garbage. You certainly did not hear anything from them when Andrew or Ivan hit....go figure. spdb ps; We are a passionate bunch, but then, I guess it goes with music we love.

I would wait till Hard Head makes an official announcement before believing Warren will be out again. The person who posted this may have heard a rebroadcast and not realized it.

Hey,Leigh(lmh22553)! I was wondering the same thing about Warren! I love the ABB....but I prefer to see them WITH Warren!! 'Specially when it's "An evening with the ABB" in Knoxville!! I did some massive shuffling & scheduling at work, to get this show to happen for me! And I definitely thought that Warren would be there....or I wouldn't have tried so hard to make it happen! Can anyone help us out on any info about this?? Thanks & good vibes!

Someone posted in the Forum that a deejay on Sirius had announced that Mr. Haynes, due to family matters, would not be joining the ABB for a week (at least) when the band begins their September tour on 9-13-05. Is there any way we can confirm this information? Some of us have to travel and take off work to see various shows and would prefer to attend a show when Mr. Haynes is playing. (Forgive me for being blunt.) Thanks for any info.

i have been a fan of southern rock for god knows ages and one thing that really pisses me off is that radio stations over here don't play enough of it. the only allman brothers song they play is rambling man and the only skynyrd song they play is sweet home alabama. i would like to know why both these bands record companys did not get off there backsides and promote these bands down under.because a lot of musicians have missed out on hearing some great guitar work from some great guitarists.

wow. been reading some of the posts from these past few daze. man = this is a passionate group of outlaws at times ain't it.......whew? guess it goes with "the mercenary territory".......... but honestly........do we go too far around here jumpin' peoples "up 'ta side 'ta head"??......must be the way of the gb. I'm cool with it most of the time but occasionally........my metro side gets to wonderin'. in the end..............y'all are a great bunch but sometimes folks y'all go pretty far trying to either "be right" or make YOUR point. 'nuff said. "there was hookers and husslers -they filled up the room.........." to all who have suffered I extend my deepest thoughts and prayers. this is a huge mess that's gonna take a very long time to sort out and even longer to understand. thank goodness we gave music to help us heal and further make it somehow all make sense. easy does it works best most of the time. March ain't too far off is it?
