Across the evening sky, all the birds are leaving
But how can they know it's time for them to go?
Before the winter fire, I will still be dreaming
I have no thought of time
For who knows where the time goes?
Who knows where the time goes?
Sad, deserted shore, your fickle friends are leaving
Ah, but then you know it's time for them to go
But I will still be here, I have no thought of leaving
I do not count the time
For who knows where the time goes?
Who knows where the time goes?
And I am not alone while my love is near me
I know it will be so until it's time to go
So come the storms of winter and then the birds in spring again
I have no fear of time
For who knows how my love grows?
And who knows where the time goes?
RIP Sandy Denny....Duane Allman....Berry Oakley...Eddie Hinton...Rory.

Debbie, you have yourself a natural ball....LOVE you Sister...send my love to Dickey-boy....
Uploaded the first round of Jam For Duane pix..starting with the tuesday evening LIVE@5 Concert Series, presented at the fabulous Georgia Music Hall of Fame and Museum, on the very intimate stage "Tune Town" ,in the museum's main exhibit hall...
as Ya'll may or may not know, the show featured the Capricorn Rhythym Section, including-
THE legendary performer and producer Paul Hornsby :clapping: not only a great artist, but a wonderful man as well...
Bill Stewart :clapping: I believe Bill is the very upbeat drummer for the Gregg and Friend's Band..a fine gentleman, a pleasure to meet and chat with....
THE legendary songwriter/artist Scott Boyer:clapping: Scott is an unbelievably down to earth and general all -around- good guy...Thanks for everything Scott...looking foward to his continued artistry..
THE legendary songwriter/artist /great guitarist/grand slide guitarist Tommy Talton :clapping: all MAN comes to mind when you talk Tommy...I was told by one of his super-nice admirerers that Tommy is also an incredibly talented woodsman, and builds some of the most beautiful log homes anyone could ever hope for...gotta love that!
THE legendary Johnny Sandlin :clapping: I just loved Johnny and his wife...... soft-spoken gentle people with true heart and soul...Heaven's Blue-sky his only limit...
Last, but by no means least, to round out this mix of tight friends full circle...My favorite Blues-singing Country-boy/ personal favorite slide guitarist, and one of the biggest-hearted men to be born of the great state of Texas.....Lee Roy Parnell :clapping: Special thanks from both Kevin and I to Lee Roy and his beautiful Donna...you both sure have a whole lot of Soul! It is an honor to call Ya'll friends...
I have read a few harsh words here on the gb, regarding some of these fine performers and gentle men, and while I sympathize with those who may have expected more, my experience was quite the contrary.....
All of these performers, some we had aready known, most we met for the very first time, welcomed Kevin and I with open arms, spent countless hours with us, over the entire weekend, talking music, Brother Duane and about life in general...Did so again on tuesday..I found them one and all, as well as their family/members extremely charming and super-nice..
For more information on the Capricorn Rhythm Section contact CapricornRhythm@aol.com
Because every "feels like sunday" deserves a cherry on top.......THE extra special surprise guest.....None other than Duane's very own "Little Brother" ....a Man in his own right now....Brother Gregory....
Words cannot express how thankful I felt to see the Midnight Rider and and  Stacie stride into that fantastic Music Hall and Museum, a huge exhibit of this one of a kind, world's greatest ultra legendary Bluesman peeking over his shoulder, just behind him (sorry..I should have shot some pix of that exhibit!) Gregg's gaze never leaving Stacie's shining face, Lovelight in his eyes....
THANK YOU Gregg and Stacie for sharing with us fans this very personal time of the year....Righteous as a tough-fine hardtail.
It occurred to me as an after thought, tuesday was exactly 3 days past the fatal anniversary....The same number of days it took Gregg to write- Aint Wasting Time..With heavey heart I couldnt help but think how real Gregg's grief continues to be , and always will....May the good Lord continue to bless the Midnight Rider...
Special THANKS to Mama and Juanita for the LOVE vittles, we all LOVE you Mama! and to the gentle-folk who picked up our tab...we owe you one...
Sorry to review so late..I am acting contracter for Hurricane Charley re-construction, here in our Mangrove get-away..supervised/cleaned up installation of 6 hurricane windows while juggling the Grandbabies and family all week....oy

Beautiful Blue Sky Sunday here in South Florida. Off to the beach and then to see Dickey!!! This will be a great Sunday for sure !!!!
You know a Mule is going to feel right at home Down on the Farm! Gov't Mule gave us two spectacular nights of no repeats that had my head spinning! Last night the Dirty Dozen Brass band sat in on John the Revalator and it was prime! Karl Denson also added his special brand of horn blowin' later in the evening. Warren looked rested and healthy and the rest of the band was rockin as well! Slim (the soundman) installed some new sub-woofers and Andy's sultry bass has found a new deep end!
This farm is beautiful and they have done a great job with the facilities here. Hot showers, good food, lots of room to camp and the festival area is all in one spot with two stages surrounded by a wide oval circle of vendors. Lot's of my favorite bands here - especially enjoyed Tishamingo!
The days are hot enought to get sunburned and the nights are cold enough to get frost. Always good to see Mother Teresa and Helen! At the HTN tent we were all sending good vibes out to the guestbook family, Lannarooo, Dickey Betts and the dTb! One more day left of the festival - Hittin' the Web's own Donna Hopkins will be tearin it up!
Be sure to check out the Hittin' the Note website for new holiday merch: www.hittinthenote.com

We are having a blast Down on the Farm. I have had more music for my ass than I can handle. Got to stand up front right in the Warren Zone. My, oh my, watch out ...Hurricane Mule is southbound and packing a punch with more energy than I have ever seen.
First of all BIG THANKS TO KIMBERLY !!!! for being as great as she is leaving st pete to get us then I called and was able to tell her to turn and get back to the show as Capn was so close. But in the pinch she hit the road for us and I lover her for it!!!!!
