We sure had a special time hanging out with the Mule and various other farm animals this past weekend at Down On the Farm! Thank you Teresa for all your sweetness and friendship! Sure was incredible to hear so many good bands all in one beautiful place. Not a filler band among them - everybody was smokin! Big Thanks to Paul Levine for putting on such a wonderful festival - Let's do it again next year!!! JNB

WillieHoward said.... Seeing Kim Payne fall to his knees as the CRS closed out their last set with "Will The Circle Be Unbroken" was worth it all to me. I say AMEN to that!

Hi again :angel:s, I forgot to mention, Rowland got the whole thing on tape! Thank you, Rowland! When he gets back from ATL we'll start making copies and send them out to folks willing to share the a*may*zen music of Lanaroo with others. Trust me, you'll be blown away! We're very blessed to have such good and talented people in the family band! :spinner: Take care and know that you are loved, Lana (one of the red haired girls at the Irish pub)

I had to miss the Jam For Duane this year because I was running for public office. However, one of the many things I learned during this incredible experience, although it was for a losing cause, was - "Never argue with a fool."

Sister Lana (rhymes with Donna!) We go way back - and I am all the better for the times we have shared the love and the music that brought us together in the first place. To you and Rowland, my deepest thanks! To Hophead, who never takes credit for all he has done, we should all say "THANK YOU" for befriending a girl from Minnesota way back in the early 90s. Her name was Lana... and the rest is history. Peace always, Willie Howard (from Mayberryetta, a suburb of Hot'lanta)

Tommy Booth, Lefty, BigDaveOnBass, Goliath, Bluedad, myself, and countless others got to jam quite a bit on Saturday at the JFD. And to say that the CRS only played for an hour? Huh? Those guys played their collective asses off for 3 days, 4 full sets, no fluff, no filler. I know I am getting older by the minute, but I don't think my memory is that bad yet. What I remember from the 3 days was the most emotionally charged musical experience I have had in a LONG time. Friends - nay, family! - and great music. Seeing Kim Payne fall to his knees as the CRS closed out their last set with "Will The Circle Be Unbroken" was worth it all to me. I shed more happy tears that weekend than I maybe ever have before. It was ALL good. Once again, my sincere thanks to Brent, Randy, Carl, Johnny Sandlin, and all of the brothers and sisters who made it so cool and who did experience Duane for a little while together. Peace always, Willie Howard (from Mayberryetta, a suburb of Hot'lanta)

RickT...I'm clueless to what you just posted. Shook your hand Saturday morning in Gadsden and then you vanished. Where did you go? Kim Payne stood against the stage that night with tears in his eyes, clapping to the music. Tommy Booth was on that stage...Mr. Payne was overcome by what happened that night in Gadsden, as we all were. I'm real confused about your post. I was there and experienced Duane. Where were you?

"Happy Birthday Lana! Duane Allman had a vision encompassing a special family...that vision many years later is something that no man can explain. We continually walk new paths we never knew existed, meet people thus becoming instant family and via the internet of all places...honestly I thought I was a weirdo with this ABB fascination I had until I found the old HTW site many years ago. We love a music to a fault and Lana it is with your help we've stumbled upon a journey and gained a family that we could never, ever imagined. Words cannot express our gratitude for what you've given and continue to give us....so Ms. Lana, on your day, your birthday, we send our sincerest wishes and the most humble thanks to you for your unconditional love and support." Wow, I could not have said it better than the above post from Karen and family. (Who am I kidding-- I couldn't come close to saying it that well.) Thanks for all that you do and I hope you're having a great day, Lana! Oh yeah, happy birthday to that Sang dude, too!
