Happy Thanksgiving to all GB'rs and friends of the musical muse. I will having my turkey tonight because I, like millions of others, will be working tomorrow. I will go in at 7am and leave at 7am the next day. I wouldn't have it any other way. I'm thankful for my family and GB friends and life. Mostly...for my son Ethan and his guardian angels hardhat. Eat till you bust if you can, and if you can't, remember friends and family...

Hope everyone in the family has a peaceful and happy Thanksgiving. I give thanks for so many things, including the ABB! :kiss: Tomorrow morning John and I will be off like a herd of turtles 🙂 at 5:30 a.m. to catch a flight to Atlanta and then drive down to the family farm just outside Fitzgerald, GA, to enjoy the weekend with the McCook Clan. Well, my Thanksgiving menu is set! We're living out of the crock pot, coffee pot, electric skillet and microwave these days. (renovating the kitchen) Even though our dinner will be non-traditional from Thanksgivings past, we're blessed to have our health, good friends, a loving family and each other. However, I knew I should have had Stormy come down to build my cabinetry! :freaked: I'm now being told my cabinets won't be ready until the mid to end of January! :freaked: again! It's ok, we're roughing it and having a blast! It's almost as fun as camping! May each of you have a wonderful, loving Thanksgiving. I wish for each of you good health, prosperity, peace in your hearts and joyous love now and always! God bless Rowland and Lana and God bless the Allman Brothers Band! I will continue my tradition of D&B's Motel Shot and our ABB's Fillmore East later tonight as I pop the cork on my favorite vintage to kick off the holiday season while I decorate my tree.... Just popping in here real quick to wish every one a very Happy, Safe and Blessed Thanksgiving! Pam already mentioned last night's dTb show...another in a long line of great ones for me (and Emily too!) Don't know how many times I've seen the dTb, certainly not 90 something, prolly "only" in the 50's.... Last night was one of those Derek Zone experiences - pure unadulterated Fender Super Reverb from our seats front and centered...not the best mix for a total band sound perspective, but hypnotic and otherwordly from a "pure" Derek Trucks sound perspective! Enough of that for now...safe travels everyone!
