hey gang good morning:cool: There is a very special place on this side of the Rainbow Bridge. This is where the dog, once loved by You, goes after he dies. There is always spring by the Rainbow Bridge, the sun shines, the grass is green, There is never too cold, and never too hot there, There is plenty of food, space to play, there is fresh, cool water in the spring brook, to drink and to frolic in. There, all dogs that were old are young again, sick or wounded are healthy and whole. There is no more pain, no more fear and despair. Dogs play all day, and then rest in a shade of an apple tree. There is only one thing missing There is only one thing which would make the dog's life perfect and complete... And then the day comes, when he lifts his head yet again to look at the distant horizon. A very special sparkle lights in his eyes, his tail's all motion again HE SEES YOU... He leaps across the field, Within seconds he is by your side, leaping to greet You, Your face gets kissed and kissed and kissed again And then you cross the Bridge together, never to be separated again.

For those of us who need to tide ourselves over in the dark of winter and who live in VA, Leon Russell is playing at the Williamsburg Library on Sunday, Jan 15th at 7:30 PM. It's general admission, so if you're a Mule fan, you can even stand in line so you won't get out of practice. Other amusements for the Commonwealth will be posted as I find them. Leigh in VA

Hey there sweet family, Tyler, you are in our prayers. The healing power of this family's love surely embraces you. There is some sad news to share on Gregg's home page. He and Stacey appreciate your visiting there and sharing your thoughts if you are moved to. I never mentioned this before (being amazed by it, and letting it sink in), but the very day Rowland, the girls, and I moved into our new house we were greeted by a wonderful prescence, courtesy of dear Carol. Carol knew what our address was going to be and, sweetheart that she is, sent us a lovely house/heartwarming gift. (Thank you, Ca *k*) ... On the cover of the package she had taped a photo of Duane and drawn in a voice bubble that said, "Hi!". She had no way of knowing we wouldn't be there to accept it in person. We were still packing up the old house. Soooo, after we finished packing, locked the old house up, led the movers to the new house, parked, and walked up to the front steps as owners of the home for the first time ... there was Duane waiting on the porch to greet us, smiling, saying "Hi!". I've been looking for my Beacon DVD for three months with no luck. Over the past two months we have replaced pretty much every floor in our house and painted. The bottom line being I packed EVERYTHING into and out of boxes. No $%%^ing DVD. So my massive deductive powers come to the irrefutable conclusion "It ain't here"! The only options - It got chucked or "borrowed" So I stealthily visited my neighbor who is nortorious for borrowing things and not giving them back. Not only does he have my Beacon DVD but several vintage EC CD's I also didn't realize were MIA. I'll lock my God darned music up when he wanders over, sucks down every beer in the house (I don't like beer so that's not an issue) and invites himself in for dinner. Every neighborhood's got one.

I have this vision ... of Bluedad and skyponydogboy as seasoned citizens sitting in front of a retirement home in about 40 years, arguing Strat vs. Les Paul. It ain't pretty at all! ___________________________ Conversation overheard at the Shadyrest Home for Aged Hippies, many years from now: SPDB: I'm tellin ya for the final,final, final time, Bluehair. I still think it was you who stole my Derek Trucks DVD! SPDB: You mean the one where Derek gets the Nobel Peace Prize? BD: That's the one! SPDB: Wasn't me ( hums a tune from that very DVD) BD: See! I told ya!! Ya slime bucket termite wood playin... ( from down the hall the sound of squealing wheels) "RORY ON!!" BD: Shhhhh.....Here comes NotSoTandan.....Remember, you know nothing about me selling his Allman Brothers signed guitar on Ebay back in 2031.... SPDB: Man, I just wish he'd stop with that Rory Calhoun stuff......

Thanks, Chitown, for the Tyler update. Hope this Brother is feeling better by the holidays. "....not the Mayor of Gadsden."--Might be the nicest thing anybody ever said about me. You'd have to live here awhile to understand. Some might have noticed we've gone out of our way to avoid city government, Chamber of Commerce, etc. in all Jam functions. Thanks for the kind words.
