What was worse IMHO, was the butchering of the National Anthem.
Very poor, they at least could have let Aretha do it alone. and....they should have shown more Chuck.
He was lost in the mix too.

Ah Woody - I'm not understanding your venom - I thought the Stones did a damn good job and they even laughed at themselves
Why isn't Chuck showcased? Hell, he isn't an emaciated ex(?)-junkie with face like a well worn road map and a sausage stuffed in his jeans prancing around like an idiot. Simple
Karen and Lynn :flower2:
MISSED you...but what wonderful life-force is touching your family through Lynn's mother. I was moved by your post on the Dickey site last week, Karen.
Looking forward to New York!
MICHAEL and LEFTY, hope you guys are feeling better. It was good talking witcha!
TERRIB, how many trips from the parking lot did it take to get all your stuff up to your pad? 😀
Diamond Dave - don't forget Outskirts of Town!
and a MEGA THANK YOU to Terri for going way beyond the call of friendship and saving me Sunday morning - I am in your debt -
As they have done historically, let's hope this year is no different when it comes to the band showcasing either old songs they haven't performed in a long time (i.e. Can't Lose What You Never Had) or some classic covers (Layla, etc..) to, what I thought was the ultimate, a solo Gregg Allman at the baby grand piano to open the 2nd Set (Oncoming Traffic; Please Call Home).
Here is my wish list for those types of nuggets to possibly be pulled from the vaults:
1.) Win, Lose or Draw
2.) Never Knew How Much I Needed You
3.) Bell Bottom Blues
4.) B.B. King Medley
5.) Angel From Montgomery
1.)
BLD I really missed being there..still, i can't wait for New York
2. Why is Chuck off to the side and rarely shown on TV?
I enjoyed the Stones at half time - but I have two questions -
1. Who's idea was it for the stage - I thought that was great!
2.
Here's wishing a Great Big Guest Book Happy Birthday to nypeachead, Nalpak and especially Miss Abigail Snail!
The happiest of birthdays to those who are celebrating this month!!
and to those of you who were too ahem "sick" to join the party, you were missed - especially Lefty - I kept waiting for you and Michael to be "on stage!" I hope you are feeling more like yourself real soon!! Karen and Lynn, I missed you guys too!
Whooooo Hooooo - Jacquie's excellent news -
Now if that was my head they were examining, think of all the fur they would see between my ears!!
It was a Supercalifragilistic party on Saturday - yes mega thanks to Jacquie and Duane and all those magic hands in the kitchen and family room putting it all together - excellent, excellent party!!
And without Lana and Rowland, it never would have happened!!
Jacquie - you are a party planner machine - get out of the law firm and start your own business!!
Great News Jacquie. What a relief that must have been.
Sounds like everyone had a GREAT time at the party. Some day I WILL SHOW UP!
That's pretty cool JNB....that will

Great news, Jacquie--atta girl!
Reminds me of the old story about Dizzy Dean being hit in the head by a line drive and being taken from the game on a stretcher. The following day, the sports section of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch carried the headline, "Dean's Head X-rayed, Nothing Found."
I assume your results were somewhat more conclusive!
