Simple Man - Mama told me when I was young Come sit beside me, my only son And listen closely to what I say. And if you do this It will help you some sunny day. Take your time... don’t live too fast, Troubles will come and they will pass. Go find a woman and you’ll find love, And don’t forget son, There is someone up above. (chorus) And be a simple kind of man. Be something you love and understand. Be a simple kind of man. Won’t you do this for me son, If you can? Forget your lust for the rich man’s gold All that you need is in your soul, And you can do this if you try. All that I want for you my son, Is to be satisfied. (chorus) Boy, don’t you worry... you’ll find yourself. Follow you heart and nothing else. And you can do this if you try. All I want for you my son, Is to be satisfied. (chorus) This is what I listen to when I'm really missing Steve - I even have shows with the Mule doing this song, but I have to say I love the original.

They say ev'rything can be replaced, Yet ev'ry distance is not near. So I remember ev'ry face Of ev'ry man who put me here. I see my light come shining From the west unto the east. Any day now, any day now, I shall be released. They say ev'ry man needs protection, They say ev'ry man must fall. Yet I swear I see my reflection Some place so high above this wall. I see my light come shining From the west unto the east. Any day now, any day now, I shall be released. Standing next to me in this lonely crowd, Is a man who swears he's not to blame. All day long I hear him shout so loud, Crying out that he was framed. I see my light come shining From the west unto the east. Any day now, any day now, I shall be released.

Gerald, The Be Kind Man who lives it, what a guy. My favorite memory was Beach To Peach...... standing by the railing, just looking over the sea of people, then hearing this voice...... "Bird"..... "Bird"...... it was Gerald, who I had never met..... so the two biggest Peachheads stood and talking about joining wires and bucket trucks..... we have a "Utility DNA" common genetics it seems. Gerald is a telco cable splicer and that means that kind mellow guy you see is TOUGH...... all weather, raging whatever.... he da man that gets it done. Happy Birthday Brother! So Happy Friday to my family here..... today is a fine day..... I do my LAST SHOT tonight so I am not BRAGGING..... Number 56 mofo. 56 weeks of thrills and chills. My doc was all giddy about it yesterday, he was all smiles, actually got me uncrabby for a few 🙂 My message is to anyone looking at dealing with Hep C, is that the treatment is very tough, but DOABLE. Please get tested, one in fifty people has this disease.

Thanks, Terri, but I'll only have one chance like everyone else. Now if the winner would like to donate it to me..... Hope that you and the Sweeties can see Lee Roy when he plays at Seversville with Devon Allman opening for him.

One of the surprises for those attending Lee Roy Parnell's "Back To The Well" cd release party at BB King's on March 7th has been announced!! Everyone who attends the concert that night will have a chance to enter a drawing, and one lucky winner will go home with Lee Roy's handwritten and autographed lyrics to "Back to the Well", beautifully framed with the CD and cover artwork. An engraved plate on the frame will let everyone know that you attended the Lee Roy Parnell CD Release Concert at B. B. King's. You must be present to win, so don't miss the opportunity to add this one-of-a-kind piece to your collection. I know that there will Peachies in attendance that night and I hope that one of them will be the winner!! Let's help Lee Roy celebrate on his big night.

I just downloaded the Itunes application thingy and bought Randall Bramblett's latest live cd (he also has an out of print one from back in the day that is awesome...) and used the program to burn a cd that actually plays. Pretty cool. I'll buy the 'real' cd when it is offered by Hittin the Note too, for the artwork and liner notes (I have a real good magnifying glass!)...anyway, thought I would share my triumph with itunes for you technophobes. Easy as pie. EAPFP
