These guys usually play at Mulcahy's whenever Dickey Betts & GS or Marshall Tucker are there. Damn good. They'll be back in June with the Outlaws.
NY/LI fans, are you suffering from ABB withdrawal? Need another dose to hold you over until the summer tour?
Check out the Bourbon Stills Band on Thursday April 27th at Mulcahy's Pub and Music Hall in Wantagh, LI, NY. www.mulcahys.com

Goliath,
Well said! What a weekend, what a place, hanging with our friends seeing our favorite bands - that's what I wannee Heaven to be like!
JNB
Starting to get it together a little better after Wanee and wanted to thank Kirk for the hospitality and Jaimoe for, well, everything...Just like last year, everything was just smooth as silk from the time we got there. Kirk and Kirsten met us at the gate on Thursday night, and after that, we found all the usual suspects, minus some key faces, but there were also many new pilgrims...
Helen and her Tallahassee gang were were ready, Big Dave and Bluedad were all set up and READY to play (I know they are worn out, man those two go at it hard...) and after some supper we all drift over to the jam. Ector and elagrua had brought with them a young fellow from Dublin, GA, Mr Tony Tyler, and before the jam I got to talk to him a good while, and he is a really nice cat. I had seen him play on several occasions and knew how good he was and once he got up on stage at the jam, he lit that place up. We had a nice jam, ol bluedad can play some too, 😉 and it is always a pleasure playing with John and Big Dave...Miss Terry was belting out the vocals and she can sing, too...that was a happening spot all weekend. I saw Tony Friday night behind the stage during the ABB set and he was ready to play all night, again...I couldn't even make it through Derek's set and had to go to our camp (at the Best Western)...
Friday we got to spend most of the day with Jai's sister, she can hang real good too. She graced Helen's Hilton for several hours, in the company of some serious degenerates, and never flinched. We were treated to a fantastic ABB show that Friday night...Red Dog and Callahan and Chank were on stage, the band was cooking....and Butch had brought along with him MissElf's cousin Thom. Family is the best, and I was surrounded with it at Wanee...
Saturday started off with Devon Allman and Honeytribe and I really dig his band. What a talent he is! I wasn't able to get over there, but he and Pedro and Tony Tyler closed it up with an over the top jam at the Hoot and Annie jam spot...
The Saturday ABB show, I was hanging around with Clay Pelland and Thom and the band was about to take the stage and they gathered together and Oteil was asking for Bill Ector...They looked right at me and asked if I had seen him...well, yeah, just a second ago...but I don't see him now. I had a feeling about that...:-) That was a great night. Wanee. This is truly about as close to heaven as I am going to get here, I think. Smiling people, our music, friends, family, food and drink and whatnot, what a vibe. Thank you ABB!!!
Paul R taped nearly every show, all weekend, he had his A team crew with him, he asked me to have everyone send him a PM and he will get out the BnPs. Heh heh, just kidding, don't go sending him any PMs for shows, please. I wanted to thank ol Musgrave for his effots too. 😎
It was just another great weekend at Wanee, the weather was almost perfect and those three days went by in a blink. Geez, what fun. We are very fortunate fans, I think, I can't wait 'til next year!
Wishing Lana and Rowland as much happiness as they provide!!
EAPFP
And how's that Goldtop, Steve? 😀
I just wanted to stop by and wish the gang a good evening. It was a beautiful day here today.
aiq, I am glad you got the old handle back. I agree with you about collecting guitars, although I have WAY too many myself, probably.
The difference is, I play 'em. I don't sock them away in storage somewhere, to make a mint off them someday. I always thought instruments were made to be played and to make music.
I've been putting some ol' strats together from ebay parts and such, and I really like a couple of them. They
play pretty good and make me smile.
Lana and Rowland, Marsha and I wish you joy and happiness always.
Thanks for bringing so much joy to all of us here.

on the duane les paul, these things are created for collectors who are investors. save yourself some grief, go to a good dealer, try several LP standards out, find a good one and make it a [your name here] model...for under 2 large.
boycott guitar collecting...
Oh I keep looking for some Kansas City tour dates. I hope they are still yet to be posted.
We are ready to roll here
I thought one of those duane replicas were in the $100K neighborhood. I think BigDave saw one at elderly in Michigan?????
