Hello HTW family! I felt the need to stop by and gush a bit to folks who "get it". Life is good up here in Mass. I'm heading up to Burlington VT to see Toots & the Maytalls and Gov't Mule tomorrow. Outdoor show at UVM and the weather is gonna be 59 degrees and clear as a bell when the Mule takes the stage at 4pm. Minor miracle for VT in April! Just booked my plane tix to Denver for my first trip to Red Rocks! What could be better than the ABB and Mule on Labor day weekend? I have a buddy who lives in Morrison and he's been after me for years to head out. This fall him and another life long friend are turning 40 so we're all using that as our excuse.
:birthday: to sweet sister Jody.

The Mule was in the house last evening, at the Town Ballroom in Buffalo. What a killer show it was. A good old fashioned a$$-kicking....a la Mule.
A very strong setlist with depth and diversity. A couple of new(er) songs from Deja Voodoo which for my taste are just okay(just my personal opinion), but some great Mule classics, Zep's When the "Levee Breaks", Traffic's "Empty Pages" and a really nicely modified reggae-fied "Soulshine" for an encore.
Warren absolutely burned down the house with an inspired and energized version of Hendrix' "Red House" like I've never heard anyone play. Whew!!
Sold out show. Good time had by all.
Catch this tour if it comes anywhere close to your town!
Prayers for peace for Donald and Deb.

A big congratulations to Scotty and Atisa. The left coast is a safer place. A Scotty related story, I was fortunate enough to receive a tee shirt for the 2006 extended family gathering and in honor of the upcoming nuptials I wore the aforementioned garb last night. What I hadnāt noticed was the little āScottyās last hurrahā logo (pole dancing is involved) on the sleeve. So my 12 year old daughter says āwhatās thatā? and my dear wife takes one look at the picture and Iām in mountains of deep *****. For the next hour or two I get to hear about what I really do during my Beacon run and all men are pigās yada, yada, yada. As most of you know the last thing I do is carouse around sleazy bars after the show, hell I donāt even carouse around sleazy bars before the show (well maybe a little). My usual after show activity is a slice @ big Nickās and off to sleep. So I managed to get into trouble for a bachelorās party that didnāt involve me. Iām sure Scotty is thinking, my wife is cool that will never happen to me (talk to me in 10 years)
A very happy birthday to sister Shey! Enjoy your weekend!

Prayers going out to Donald and his family as well as you Debbie. Hang in there girl ... we're here for you.
That " beer belly" thing mentioned earlier sounds like what we need going into The KY Derby and Oaks. Anyone know of a website to check them out? Brother Derek arrived in Louisville yesterday and immediately warmed to the crowd of reporters (he's a better man than I) and onlookers. He went out on the track this morning and am eager to hear how he took to it. All on this site ought to throw a few bucks his way next Saturday.
A BIG Happy Birthday to Jody!...Enjoy your day and weekend!
..and all Best wishes to Scotty & Atisa.
