:waving: Hi Tyler... so glad your home and feeling alittle better, we all missed you. 🙂
Hiya Terri,
Karen's drinking all the beer.
My reception is coming in and out. Hope it holds up in casino for showtime.
I see Cujo online. He's up in Niagara. Are we gonna get an instant live setlist tonight, Cuj????
Welcome Home (the HTW Home), Tyler!
I hope you're feeling much better.
Thanks for checking in.
I am home now guys. Doing much better.. almost died again. Can't keep me down although, I think Krshina's Mushrooms got me over the live this time along the gang on the forum. From the bottom of my heart, thanks. Tyler
8-26-00.........Dickey had been booted............I wasn't going to go to the show but Brofan and Chitown persuaded me to go with them........
I had NEVER met them before........
Sure glad I went cuz I consider them both good friends....

I've got a friend coming in from Italy tomorrow, and Sunday we're going to the Bristow, VA show and Tuesday we're going to the Jones Beach show!
It's his first time to the State and it'll be like,
"Welcome to America, here's the Allman Brothers Band!"
:flower2:
ALLRIGHT!! I CAN'T WAIT, and I hope to see some ABB fam members out there. Please let me know if you're going to these shows!
Thinkin' of y'all!
Janet
the guest book.
as weird and sometimes ram-bunk-shus as it can be = this is one of the funniest and best group of folks.
yeah we are a great bunch!
I think I got started during the Dickey fallout time in 2000 - so it was a full fledged "food fight".......
and that of course can still happen big time Belushi style at any moment - perfect........
passionate opinionated fans just like the music itself.
there ain't nothing like it really.
have kinda tried to 'splain it to others but they just don't quite get it.
dat's ho-kay.
my friends and even some of my musician friends too just kind of turn their heads when I git 'er goin' about the ABB and the drummers in particular and The Beacon run of course.........
Was this past year epic or what - 'nuff said.
I still keep trying to think that maybe I have gone too far = but........no - when I listen it makes sense even more so.
go listen to True Gravity then put on Multi-Colored Lady.........this is way way past Melissa and even W-Post and One Way Out.
did somebody just say let's go to Egypt?
I love other types of music (jazz in particular), think that Little Feat & Marshall Tucker when they were together were in-frickin'-credible.
etc etc.
NOBODY plays like they did and still do - nobody.
so back to this place..........I have met several at Beacon pre-parties and on the funky Broadway Street.
bought Oteil a slice this year at Big Nick's = he came from the hotel with no dough?
I even got our man - West Coast Scotty a ticket last year 2005 when he was hosting the Coast gig but did not have a seat - wow was that meant to be........had never met him before walking into his party.
listening to I. W. Ricky T. go on about how to properly play drums to AND listen "properly" to the ABB is still a pleasure.........why do I think it is kewl he got "banned"..........rebel yell please!
Buppalo "JFD" Randy has to be the kindest most giving soul next to Lana maybe in Narth America or beyond.
The Jello Shot Chix and Beacon Hoo-Hoo Girls are just nutts.......met 'em this year.......dangerous ladies indeedy!
love to all.
Lang Manion
....and before I head out for the weekend, I wanted to give a premature birthday shout out to Bro. GreatScott for tomorrow. Thank you, Mr. Gibbs, for being a big part of our family here for quite a few years now. Hope your day brings your heart's desire.
Big rain out the window now, first in weeks. Gonna' cool things down a bit for the Percy Sledge/Decoys show tonight.
CRS and Bonnie tomorrow.
Outa' here....
I am moving and am so glad that I got to see you before I left. You guys rock!
Awwww, Sammie! 😀
I'll never forget your first ABB show . . . singing "Desdemona" at the top of our lungs, you and J.R. dancin'. A beautiful night!
Love you, pookie . . . :flower2:
i definitley have my cousin (justcallmebeck) to thank for introducing me to ABB. She, of course, took me to my first Brothers show last year, AND my first Mule show last year. She's introduced me to Mr. and Mrs. Potter (two truly amazing people) and many other wonderful people. Everyone I have met has been so, super nice and friendly to me and I am so gracious to have met them. nothing brings me more happiness then going to shows and get-togethers with her and being with these amazing people. So thanks for showing me so much love! :]

Y'all might want to check this one out :winky:

Only 4 preorders recieved today,(way to go Theresa B. LOL),that leaves us a little short.I'm only on here for about 1 1/2 years and thanks to Debbie from BB got to meet a whole lotta ya at the Beacon parties this past March. The friends I've made since then is incredible.Ann Sandlin has done an amazing job coordinating this cookbook. There is also a thread that now shows the book's cover.C'mon gang, let's get this done. There's a thread in the AG and let me just thank you in advance for helping a great cause...Brothers at the Beach in 4 days...whoo hoooo!
My 3 Beacon experiences (all fun, and all different with new friends each time) enabled me to put faces to so many people. The actual meetings seemed more to be hit and run in the crowded parties, as compared to a quiet sit-downs (breakfast/brunch is usually a nice exception), but it always seemed the cyber connection became stronger no matter how brief the meeting.
The other big meeting of gb'ers was the year I met CowboyNeil and Oldcoot, and Origipeach/Matt and so many others for the first time at Red Rocks-both at a pre concert party at the Marriott and at a bbq at my house. Gailagain and BuffaloBill came over for what seemed like a short visit and now they feel like old friends. Southpaw was late getting to the preconcert party at the Marriott so we first met on the seats at Red Rocks (CowboyNeil had scored them seats in the second row), and yet he seemed like a lost relative! That year we already had the starting of a little Denver group who got together for famabbly shows-Ernie/cruzpro & his daughter Mary, Deb from Denver/MScave & Gary, DaveC(my friend, neighbor, and lurker here!), Phyllis ("The Lovely" as nicknamed by our Brit friend Colin) my wife, and my son Jason and whomever else we could get to come with us that year!
So, now I am addicted and need to know how everyone is doing each day.
Many, many GBers are part of my extended family (you know who you are!)...and one in particular is now a family member, legally. I can't even begin to express how grateful I am that I met John Ott through a local group of King Crimson aficionados...and through him reconnected with the ABB and found HTW...and through HTW and the music met my mate and true love John MyCook, and so many friends and friendly acquaintances in the bargain.
This really is a great community of people...I'm grateful to be part of the gang.
Not nearly enough room here to tell of all the wonderful people I have met, and will meet, from this site.
I have so many stories of meeting members of the ABB and extended family band(s), just ask me when you see me. To all I have met and those yet to be met, I am privileged and humbled to have you know me, and for me to know you.
**Skydogs will be in gadsden tonite at the Gator Grill, sat nite we travel to
Tuscaloosa to Little Willies Jazz and Blues Club. Saturday, Yatti Westbrook will be playing drums......
he plays with Oteil, ARU, and more.
Should be a real throwdown...
