Hey SAVANNAH, how goes it?
Tufnuff,
Thanks! 🙂
Is "Done Somebody Wrong" played anywhere during this show?
Sweet
disc 2, track 1...Midnight Rider
track 2 ... Why does Love Have to be so sad
I'll check it out
My Friends,
Can someone who has the IL of the ABB 7/2/06 show at the Calvert Marine Museum / Solomons, MD, check to see if “Done Somebody Wrong” was played between “Midnight Rider” and “Why Does Love Got To Be So Sad”?
Peace
Billy Hollems
Bass player block..:)
although I played right handed bass upside down and backwards at a party yesterday..Oteil should not feel threatened..
Hey Michael, it was great seeing you as well and what an awesome show and well worth the drive. :yep:
I did make it to Solomons to see the ABB last Sunday and even though the rain was pretty bad at one point it didn't slow a thing down and actually cooled things off real good.
I should be finishing up my current project soon and it looks as if the next one will be close to home
And it's about time us bass players took control :megacool:
Hey, that's four--now five--posts in a row by bass players. We're taking over!
Sure, Houston--it used to be my sig line:
"do not be deceived by nor take lightly this bit of musicianship that one describes simply as bass"
Say, it was great seeing you last week! 😀
Hey Michael...tell' em what Lowell George said in reference to the bass.
I started playing because everyone else played guitar and I thought to myself, hell it's only 4 strings how difficult can that be!!! :looney:
Now, years and years later I'm still learning and thats what makes it interesting.
If anyone needs any bass material just let me know. I have cd's, books, dvd's, transcriptions of more material than one should have in a lifetime and I'm always willing to help anyone learn:guitarist:
Leah Marie, have FUN with the bass!
Another HTW friend recently got their first bass, too.
Darn, the secret is out! :guitarist:
Thanks Dan for the heads up and the kind thoughts. It will be a pleasure meeting everyone in GA. Being a part of the Allman brothers family is a great feeling.
I noticed Jack Casidy in the Jefferson Airplane when I was 12 years old on PBS. That was it for me. My parents bought me a bass and I hurt there ears for a while. They usually didn't complain.
Jack Casidy has been my bass teacher and friend since 1999 when i went to bass class in OHIO. I went back in 2003 and discovered a friendship with Jack due to both of our families suffering with cancer and talking through some heavy stuff. Jack is a very generous person.
Hot Tuna usually only comes through the upper midwest in the winter. So seeing Jack play and talk with him doesn't happen very often.
Seeing Jack and all of the GBr's in GA will be a blast. Sometimes when Jack sees me he makes faces and pounds the bass like crazy. I can't ask for much more. Charlie
Thanks ya'll for the birthday greetings..........Love, Love
