Santa arrived alittle early in Ohio this year with my 11/26 Tower Theater CD. Don't suppose that to do list will be much use for the next three hours.

May they surround you with comfort as you make this hard journey and may you all find strength in each others love ... you've had more than your share of burdens to carry this year. Cape Coral, FL Dec. 10, 2011 I guess it is with sadness and jubilation that I report that my baby sister, Cathy has lost her long fight with cancer. This, three weeks to the day after the passing of our mother. Sadness because that I will no longer have her in my life - in the flesh. With jubilation because now that Goddamned monster of a disease can no longer torment my sister. My sister was just about the sweetest, most charming and beautiful girl that you could ever see. She could light up any room with her presence. Some of y'all had the good fortune to meet Cathy. She was at Donna's and my "Birth-a-versary" party several years ago and at the Allman Brothers- Widespread Panic 2-show run in Birmingham a couple of years ago. She loved to have fun and she loved music. I wish that I could say that Cathy passed as peacefully and as beautifully as momma did 3 weeks ago, but it just wasn't like that. This son of a ***** disease tore at her until the end. Tougher than I ever thought any human being could ever be, Cathy fought back relentlessly. In the end, she was no match for a disease that evidently is stronger than prayer. Donna, my aunt, Pat and I are loading up the car for the 10 hour drive home now. I imagine it will be a very quiet trip. Thank all of y'all for the prayers, thoughts, letters, cards and phone calls throughout this ordeal. This still seems so unreal.

Any plans to do a show or two in the West? I remember the amazing sound when I heard/saw the band play at Fillmore (may have been Winterland) and in the Oakland Colliseum in the '70's. Everyone went silent, completely awestruck. Any way we want to hear if you can still come close! Thanks, Sandra

Bird, after that beautiful story you shared in the Forum, I want your autograph:) I was reading something about Guns and Gibsons and Ringo Starr, when this quote made me laugh. Ringo Starr said: “I am doing the best I can – how about you?”

Happy Birthday Gregg!!!!!!!!!!! So my only Gregg story along the lines below.... Red Rocks gathering at the bar, same hotel GA and a bunch of people were at. Early day and a a bit of gathering from here... I go the bar, I guess it was the hair, and the nice lady tending bar asks me if I am Gregg Allman. Like the devil possessed me, without hesitation, I said, "YES!" So then she asks for my autograph. Got a little sticky at that point. OK, honesty is "the path"..... so I said, well, I'm really not Gregg. She wasn't very thrilled at that point, mildly annoyed I think.

Here's my Greg Potter story. A friend of mine who shall remain nameless, went into a local bank and the teller, knowing my friends connection to the ABB, says to him "Gregg Allman was in here yesterday, but his account is listed as Greg Potter!". So much for banking confidentiality. It's no coincidence Greg has that hair! Have a great day, Greg, and thanks for always putting up with me with a smile and a nod. Things are a lot different these days, you'll be happy to know. I always appreciated your concerned smiles and big hugs. Oh..I gorgot my other account number, can you help me out Miss Bankteller ?
