By the way, does anyone here live near or in Slidell, LA? I am interviewing for a job there, and would like to know a little more about the place.....

Well, Billy can count me as having went to Auburn, and he STILL does not like 'em. Neil, buddy, we play real football down here. With ALL respect to USC (who has our number), I think you dis Auburn. LSU will not win, nor shut Auburn out. My buddies Brent and Billy go around with a shovel and they never wash their hands. I am going to let you alll figure that out, except here is a hint: these Alabama boys completely live in the past, if you knows what I mean. The beautiful Mara promises fresh made spinach dip, fresh beer chili, and homemade carrot cake for tomorrow. In turn, after Mass Sunday, I will make her fresh homemade cathead buttermilk biscuits, and fresh cream sausage gravy for breakfast. Yep, its that time of year..... Rick

Again? Have you kissed me off before Billy. Must not have been a good kiss, I don't remember. At least I'm consistent.

Saw Ana Popovic at Fuzzy's Place last night. She certainly has the looks and licks. Although our Susan T doesn't have her pure technique or speed, I'll take Susan's voice and feel/emotion on guitar any day. But hey, it's not a competition.... Ana's definitely worth catching if you can. Go Jackets, Tim

I'm gonna go with LSU over Auburn as the LSU defense will shut Auburn down. I'm hoping Michigan beats the Irish ,just cause I hate the Dame.

"For the record I do not like Dame or Auburn football". - No kidding? So you base your picks on how many people that you know that went to a school? But to predict ND to lose every week deludes any credibility in your picks, even if it is just for shagiggles. In that way of thinking, the Bears will be 19-0 this year. I met their trainer once.

Where I grew up, the University of Michigan, Michigan State and Notre Dame were all about 1.5 hours away. That sure made football weekends interesting! For the record: Go Blue! Billy, thanks for the St. Joe's high school pick. They play Hilliard Davidson in Ohio tomorrow in a football tournament called USA vs. Ohio. My prediction: St. Joe's Prep 28 Hilliard 21.

I'll second Billy's picks, given his track record and his picks seem reasonable enough this week. FSU and UGA typically play to their opponents' level, so i see both those games being close. Clemson/FSU could go either way by 3. And I see UGA beating UAB, but it being possibly a bit closer than 28-14. Maybe not. I like Billy's picks overall this week though. Notre Dame/Michigan could be a fun one to watch.

Mark....hope you get good news and your pain is only temporary. I know what you're going through. I also had back surgery after enduring pain for about 10 years. It wasn't fun but oh what a relief it was. Thank God for modern medicine!
