Bluefox, thanks for the update for the Codetalkers playing at the Charlotte Blues, Brews, and BBQ. I was going by the Codetalkers website. I would very much like to see the Part Time Blues Band, will try to make it!

Yes Willie Weeks was the drummer. Hmmm I guess I missed the Derek intro. I just couldn't help but think all this fire power up on stage and only 20% is being used. I guess seeing the Brothers spoils me. But again it was a great show Clapton did bring it no doubt about that.

Dan, great seeing you as well, Brother. Since it looks like Gregg won't be making it to Charlotte, a trip to Myrtle Beach might be in order. And if I work it right, I might even be able to get GE to pay for it-there are a lot of hospitals and doctor's offices that need calling on that Monday after the show...

Hey Rich, it was great, although brief, to catch you in Raleigh last month. Brother you need to come on down for GAF at the HOB next month. TD I caught that as well, pretty cool.

Hey Pete - Clapton did introduce Derek after one of his solos - I think he did everybody except the drummer and bass player.....that was Willie Weeks, right?

meandean I agree the Clapton show was top notch. My obsevations however are slightly different. Other than Doyle and Robert Cray, Clapton never introduced the rest of the band. In other words 15,000 people never once heard Derek's name. Secondly, I much prefer the way Derek plays slide during the Layla piano coda when played with the Brothers. He stretches it out much more like the original. But don't get me wrong the show was fantastic. And Brofan any time my friend you know you are always welcome.

How ya'll doin? Long time no see... Just wandered over to mule.net and perused the Mule Tracks section only to see yours truly immortalized picking my nose in a photo shot during the Mule's set at the Virgin Megastore in Chicago. Oh goodee! Always wanted to be famous....at least Lee is looking down at the ground. A shout out goes out to all the great folks I met and hung out with during my week in Chicago, Green Bay and Denver/Red Rocks, with special kudos to Lee, Chad (Sandman), Pat (Chitown) and his family, PeachyPeteWi and Spring, Smilin' Jack and his wife-what a GREAT party Thursday night in Denver the night before the RR show, Jeanne and Johnny, Big Mike, Cowboy Neil (what a great guy to hang with-like you said, twin sons from different mothers), Tommy G. (Southpaw), Rydethewind......I'm sure I've left someone out. I almost caught pneumonia after the ABB's show at RR and missed the Mule's show the next night. But it was a trip I'll never forget. Thanks to all you great folks. Just wish I could find Warren's pick that I found on the floor after the Mule's set at Rosemont....and subsequently lost somewhere between the Denver airport after getting up at 4:45 AM to catch a 7 AM flight the morning after the Mule's RR show and the Charlotte airport....

I really don't know many of you personally ..in fact I've only met a few.. elagrua ( miss her ) Jacquie, Sari, Lana, Terri, Bill E, Easy Michael ( luv him ) Del , DZ, Mitch, SDS,.. I'm sure there a couple more and these meetings were brief and with a quick introduction and onto the show. I feel like I know you all and when I have met you face to face it's like meeting an old friend. I've only been here about 1yr1/2 and I love the music that is what brought me to this place. There are so many things I don't understand.. meaning some of the conversation's. Sometimes I feel like I'm ease dropping on private ones. Don't know to much about the sweeties parties and get together's or Jello Shots ( I've never had one ) but, it's all so entertaining and much fun to try and figure out whats going on. I was always the girl that said ... I don't get it ???? no kidding, I still do. Must be that attention span.. Anyway, the reason I'm even writing in the guest book is because.. I just read Linnie's post and .... i feel terrible for her. I know she has lots of friends on here, but really what is happening ??? I'm concerned for her.. So any of the friends shes made on here through the years... maybe they should drop her a pm or something. I know I will. Hope she will be okay, it's scary sometimes when life is beating the crap out of you and you can't get a break.. I'm sad for her ... I hope I didn't start anything here... of course that's not my intention. I really hate getting attacked as well. It's just a kind thought for Linnie...
