Hi CowboyNeil, Some down time for you! We miss having you here in Denver-funny how such a short time can make you feel so close Brother! Happy birthday to all. Tyler, I'll pretend the package I promised is a birthday gift! I'll go to your/our JHawk family thread to see how the move is coming. Gailagain and BuffaloBill, I got your package today as I was listening to the other recent Gov't Mule show you just gave me! i'm sure glad I waited for you after the party split to Cervantes! Thanks for your constant generosity. Johnny, Mr Fishcamp Deluxe, I also got a package from you and love it. Can I be the Denver rep for CHB? Maybe we can find a way for you to write off trips here! LOL. I got to see a Jeff Beck show last night that came my way unexpectedly. What good fortune-he was great. He also called out a female blues singer for a number of songs, and she was great. I think her name was Beth Hart, but I need to look it up to check for sure. Go if they come your way.

Happiest of birthdays to Tyler and phillybob! :fanfare: A quick "clarification" to a post from earlier today--Willie Weeks is playing bass with EC; Steve Jordan is the drummer. Willie has a groove that's at *least* a mile wide! He toured with the most recent incarnation of GA&F, too.

It's been kinda weird around here the last week or so. Seems like we can move from the sublime (Derek & Eric) to conflict at warp speed. And sometimes it seems we get into something and its like a dog getting ahold of a bone, no one wants to let it go. I'll confess in the last couple of years I got in on a couple of those to my great regret. I would only remind all of us that the first rule of getting out of holes is to stop digging. One of those lessons I keep forgetting

As the GB turns the week comes to a close.Another day to learn, love and grow is winding down so I'll bid you all ado.Happy birthdays to all who had, have or are having one this week, weekend. For the rest of us make everyday special,be kind, try to remember your manners and by all means turn up the tunes. Thank you to all who share music here as that what brought me here in the first place. If you create music then you have been blessed with a gift and thank a power higher than yourself for it. Its what makes us human I think. I just had 182 students come through today,I think I deserve some down time.Have a nice weekend everybody!

Linnie, since you are intent on a public deal........ there is a thread in Forum on cool pic from Fillmore. I made a sociological observation on if that pic were taken today, there would be a ton of people up front squeezed in. About half a dozen people responded agreeing with me. Then you responded with a post, something about don't add negativity to a positive picture...... I ribbingly asked if you were sensitive because you get up front, you responded by calling me a negative jackass. I pm'd you and said a few observations and thoughts, as most will do when publicly called a jackass. Hence your dramatic "exit" post...... If you want to not be in a fray, then one thing is to not go flaming people on the net. Sorry to post this idiotic stuff people, but there is no reading between lines now.... there it is..... I am sorry for all your recent troubles, but that has nothing to do with net name calling.....

Please....LOL....It's BIGDAVE....all caps, no spaces. I'm seriously considering changing my screen name so I won't have a complex about remembering if I made a concert call or attended a concert that I can't recall.

Lefty, it isnt about you - it was the comment made directly following your post and a PM from her cohort. its painful when people you thought loved you bag you for being who you are. i dont have time for any of it right now. GOOD LUCK.

Update on Willie. It appears Willie is the type of shopper who buys in bulk and shops at Costco and/or Sam’s Club: http://www.thesmokinggun.com/archive/0922061willie1.html

Lefty, it is something in the water. I re-read your post, and "self absorbed people" who weren't the subject of your post assumed you were talking about them, therefore fulfilling some self fulfilling prophecy that they are indeed self absorbed..... Fruedian logic at work....... There has to be a song somewhere in all that.... maybe the "I step in dog do no matter what" song..... I step in dog doo no matter how I try My shoes smell bad; no wonder why At least the doo, it's earthy organic But the stink still makes me manic Try to wipe it off with a wet rag And I just get it on my hand And throw the bad mess in a bag Seems like a great song for my band Dog Doo, just my fate in life Dog Doo just brings me strife Dog Doo, my only real friend Put a pile on my grave at the end
