When exactly was Pat's birthday? We could have done it up even more special by making a b-day announcement at JFD.
Happy Birthday Pat!
Happy birthday to the 'shorted-one' Mr Crenshaw.
Hi Everyone...
Red Dog,
Thanks for sharing that story my friend...
Lefty,
Love you Brother...check your PM.
Sweet
:birthday: Patrick!!!!!
Good Morning GB'ers! & Happy Belated Birthday to my buddy Pat down in the sweet sunny south!
We have DTB & STB tonight here in Baltimore. I'm going to be seeing some of you there tonight & am really stoked for this show!
Tomorrow night jazz great Frank Vignola will be playing at the guitar shop I work at in an intimate 65 seat venue. This is a great weekend for music lovers in the Baltimore area!
I hope you all have a great weekend!
Nice thoughts on the GB this nice fall Friday.
Linnie X, I lit up when I read the review of the Grape Street show. That place is a fantastic venue. It's like seeing a show at a friend's house. I had some friends in Philly who lived right next to the train trestle there and we logged some serious time at the Grape Street in the mid-late 90's. Lot's of post tower theatre show parties were spent there. Anyone from Philly remember WNOC ? What a crazy band. One of my favorite local bars is up the street from the Grape. It's called the Dawson st. It's so local , the staff almost looks upset that you're breaking up their private party. Good post show E factory /Camden memories there. It's been a while since I've been to Philly. Great town.
I have to get out a check out Walker's band. Anyone from Rockaway who hangs out with the Mighty Quinn from the NY Daily News box score page is alright in my book.
Have a great weekend, folks.
what the heck? i missed Patricks Birthday? oooo the horror! i would have been passing out little 'please wish Patrick Crenshaw a happy birthday" papers at JFD had i known....

It indeed WAS patrick's birthday, and it was a good one! Sure, I'll be at Derek & Susan on NYE (probably working it) & I'm at the mule tonight & tomorrow. I skipped Barbra at Philips last night, but I did see an interesting movie, The Fountain. Look for it in theaters around Thanksgiving.
If it indeed is Patrick's B-Day, happy belated to you. Hope it was good one!
Speaking of belated B-Day's, I need to shout out a special belated :birthday: to Shelby Bomberry! It was on the 1st! I hope your special day was everything you wanted it to be little bro! Love and miss you and hope to see you soon.
Happy (belated?) birthday to PatrickCrenshaw! Here's wishing you many more years of being able to come up with excellent tickets at low (or no) prices on the day of a sold-out show!
Hope to see ya soon! Derek and Susan at the Fox on NYE perhaps?

So live, that when thy summons comes to join
The innumerable caravan, which moves
To that mysterious realm, where each shall take
His chamber in the silent halls of death,
Thou go not, like the quarry-slave at night,
Scourged to his dungeon, but, sustained and soothed
By an unfaltering trust, approach thy grave
Like one who wraps the drapery of his couch
About him, and lies down to pleasant dreams.

Judi and Red Dog..........you are both gems.........the world would be a better place with more people like you.
Last week for the 1st time in my life, my Mom stood up for me.......brought tears to my eyes and lucky for me that my Dad & I made peace before he died. Life is too damn short to be mad at people you love. Hopefully, one day soon, my son will realize that.
Lefty, keeping your family in my prayers............make the most of each day because none of us know when our time is up. I for one don't want to leave this world mad at anyone.
And I am soooooooooo grateful for all the wonderful people who have come into my life from this website in the past 6 years.......I love you all.
Peace
Thanks Linnie for coming in the first place.....It was great to meet you too. We really lucked onto some great music last night. I have not been to an open mic in years...I'm glad they asked me to perform. I really want to thank you for having the guts to come out and see new music....hanging was a pleasure...I would love to do more things associated with the website crew. I dig this place....walker
Luke,
I dig your post.
My grandfather told me as a young child..."I don't want nobody preachin' my funeral...., I am living mine".
Words I try and live by to this day...
