UNITED STATES of AMERICA

I have some oil stocks there not doing as well as the general market. People that own stock are not generally for the war in my opinion I am for not having terrorist blow up buildings or run planes into them and I really do not care for out of control country's that are ruled by thugs and kill innocent folks no matter where it us Africa, Haiti, Iraq. Voting incumbents out Replican or Democrat will not serve much of a purpose, if one or the other is not doing there job yes vote them out. War over oil and a certain party controlling prices is all jibber jabber.
I'll betcha Gregg, Dickey, Butch and Warren probably own some oil stocks as well.
Thanks Helen for the concert calls last night. 🙂
Hey.....thanks for the PM's. Yep, I know there are tickets still available; I am just trying to cop some better seats, that's all. Would like to be up front if at all possible.
I thought that was one of the most animated crowds I have ever seen at a Mule show. Impossible not to get caught up in the energy. Not to mention there was some serious burning down going on! That is if you are into those kind of things : )
"Sunday I go to Church yeah,,,Lord,,, I get down and I pray...."
Hemmie, I don't live in a fictitious world like you do. Believing all the propaganda that the Government puts out. You don't know from squat what the man did or did not do. Its his country to do as he wishes. You think its all right, that the Government gunned down kids at Kent State! I'm sure you must be one of the ones that own stock, and making money off this war. I think that might be what offended you. Sorry bro. I just can't buy all the propaganda that you try to put out. Your opinion is now in the minority. The American people are growing in numbers agaist this war. The see it as it is. A money maker.
Mississippi, what a great word to spell. The only State with brother Duane's' named craved into the side of a mountain. I am a lucky one. My eyes have seen it in person. Under fire from the Enlighten rogues roadies, who were bitching and saying, see it some other time, when I said, stop the bus. Hell, as we went by it and I just happened, as luck, or from forces that surround me, that would have it no other way, to look out the bus window, on the right side, as we were headed west, and bingo! got a glimpse of the Name. Duane Allman in big letters that were carved deep into the side of the mountain. Stop the bus. We did, backed up and check it out. Put tears in my eyes. I could care less if the roadies were pissed that we stopped. That had to be the worst of the different crews the band has had. Hell, if that had been Kim Payne, Mike Calahan, me, Twiggs, brother Willie (the four speed) P, and Jo Dan. We would have turned the bus around on a dime, and more than likely, camped out for a while. For the Love of a Brother.
The man is going to die. They are going to hang the dud by his neck, till he is dead. Strange world we live in, when one country starts a war and goes in and kills the leader in the name of peace. That is like, one of you going over to your friends house, and saying you don't like the way he runs his house, and you are going to change it. I know they say the guy did this and that. We as a country gunned down students at Kent State, opened up with machine guns on the Vets, when they marched on Wash. D. C. in protest for not getting their benefits. Those folks did nothing, but demonstrate. The people in Iraq were trying to take the guy out and he got them before they got him. That country sure was in better shape then, than it is now. I am not saying to get out, of the fouled up war ground. Hell, we slapped the people and now we got to see it threw. Right or wrong. Funny deal is most of the people that are in favor of this war are the ones that own stock in the Oil companies or other stocks that are making money because of the war. I wonder how people sleep at night knowing they are getting our troops killed, so they can make money. A change is needed. VOTE THE INCUMBENTS OUT.( Remember they want to let the illegal people vote. There is a brannier. ) I was going to say its that simple, but then on the other hand its looking more and more like the elections are rigged and paid for.
wow, I second everything JNB said about the saturday mule show! if warren had let me make the setlist, that's EXACTLY what I would have asked for including Kevn Kinney for the encore! many thanks to littlemulegal for getting me in and saving my seat, and it was great to spend some time this weekend with my old travelling buddies Leigh and Sean!
Hey, anybody who missed tommy talton tearing it up at the jfd can catch him monday night with my sweetheart shannon curfman at smith's olde bar! check it out:

Good Sunday morning, guestbook!
Yes, the Mule Rocked my world on Saturday night! Friday had some beautiful, quiet moments in between the rockers. Saturday just ROCKED - start to finish.
Seeing these guys every six months or so, you realize just how much they keep growing and evolving. It's been a wonderful journey from the first Mule show on June 11, 1994 to now. We are so blessed to have the ABB, DTB, Mule, OTPM as the nucleus of our musical world - how lucky can we get?!
One of many cool moments this weekend was last night looking down at the setlist on Brian Farmer's work station. Sandwiched between the two set list sheets was HTN issue #50 with the Mule on the cover. Made me fell good. Also got the chance to talk with Doug Woody at length and remember Capt. Al. It was the Wood that made it good. I think he would be proud of these guys. It was very nice to see the love given to Matt - everyone in the whole place gave him a standing ovation after the drum solo. The Mule loves Atlanta and Atlanta loves them! Talk about Rockin' in the Free World! We also got a little country last night - was that a warm up for the Ryman? A little tip of the hat to Johnny Cash? Also got a Blue Sky tease - what a night!
Thank you Gov't Mule for a wonderful Hot'Lanta weekend!
JNB
Hi y'all:
NEED TICKETS TO MULE IN BIRMINGHAM. PLEASE PM ME.
I owned and played one and liked it quite well. Had a 60's neck, ok pick-ups, and played smooth. I had no problem getting the sound I wanted from the pick-ups in the guitar.

I am at the race track eveyday. I must say....deezeee56...I took a look at Red Rocks after you mentioned it...You bailed me out...what a great price and horse...well done!
Have any you LP pickers played a LP "Classic"? Thoughts (other than ugly fret markers)? Kind of wonder if I went astray........ been told to put Burstbuckers in it.....
before you kill off the strats (LOL), you should note that Dickey used one on some parts of the first Allman Brothers album.....(if memory serves, for rhythm).....:guitarist:
I think Blue-dud is still drinkin'. When he wakes up, he will see what the real king of guitars is, GIBSON LP.
So, uncase that animal and let it eat...
I suggest a full blown Mtn. Jam on '10'. Now, when it gets cold up there you hillbilly, you have some firewood named 'Fender'.

Hey there sweet family,
 Good morning, Gary! Motel Shot, yes! :clapping: What a wonderful part of any morning - and an integral part of our Sundays. Hard to believe it's been 35 years since it was recorded.
6 days and counting to Lanaroo, whoo hoo! :spinner: Donna & Frank, thank you soooo much in advance for your generous and heartfelt hospitality! Matty B, beloved ring master, thank you for everything you put into Lanaroo too. Without you, it would be juke box city! :guitar:
Take care and know that *you* are loved,
Lana
