Gosh Robbie, I new you said you were in Iraq. But I did not know you were a war hero. I guess that is why you have to resort to slinging mud and trying to force your ideas on others. Just because you believe, what one group of people say, and some of us believe, what others say. Doesn't give you the right to put people down and make them sound unpatriotic. I sure would not question ones combat record. With you saying those things you have opened up an other can of worms. Which, this time I will just let go by, with the thinking you are upset, and did not really mean the down grading you tried to put on me? I only ask you a question, about what you posted. I even worded it so it would not be offensive. I believe I said something like this. I was having trouble as to why, if you were there, like you said and saw the people being gassed. Why did the Americans let this go down? I think that was a fair question, maybe not, because you seem to get all fired up. I do believe in my opinion about this war. I fought a war under lies about fighting for Freedom and Democracy. Years after the war, we learn a lot, about why we were there. None of the reasons, they told us about why we were going, stand true today. So why, would I believe the reasons, they are telling us about this war. Let me clear one thing up. You have never read a word where I said lets get out. I don't like all the lies and ***** footing around. You go to war to kick ass not to be police. Because we did not go in there with the right frame of mind we are losing troops every day with the ammo we let them get. Now we are not only losing in Iraq, we are losing the grip in the Afghan land. So please try and understand where a lot of us are coming from. If you think you need to enlighten us try, and do it in a nice way. It makes for much better dialog. Peace and happy birthday to a fellow MARINE.

Headed out for a great night of local music....Spun Wagon and Issac Pike in town tonight, I hear tell a Gibson player from down the road might be dropping by. Warming up with a pretty good local jazz-oriented bunch, maybe a visit from Big Stephen McCollough on the keys. Dinner tomorrow with Randy Poe. Life is good. Best wishes to the Collins and Anderson families this weekend. EAPFP

You know, I guess all opinions are welcome here except the ones that don't agree with the majority. Hemlock spreads a lot of music around, doesn't grandstand about it, asks no quarter and gives none. I've met the dude personally and he's a stand - up cat as far as I'm concerned and somebody I'M PROUD TO CALL A FRIEND.... and anyhow, I've never needed a public opinion poll to pick my friends for me, but I have heard Rob criticized for everything from saying something good about the President to trying to collect some money that he loaned (in good faith) to some bozo that sold t-shirts at Dickey Betts shows. Anyhow, Rob sure as hell can take care of himself and doesn't need me to do it for him, but seriously, some of you folks around here crack me up with your mis-guided sense of self-importance. Tell somebody who gives a f_ck, รงause as Bobby D. said, ''It ain't me babe''.

First off, the Happiest of Birthdays to my Sister Lana! But even more importantly, God bless our veterans, both today's and yesterday's. As always on Veteran's Day I am reminded of the sacrifices my dad made on the Bataan Death March, 19 days on the Hell Ship Nagato Maru, and 3 1/2 years as a POW in Japan. This year my son Ronnie, who is named after my dad, chose as the subject of his 6th grade Social Studies Fair project, "How Did Japan Treat American POWs in World War II?" As part of the research for his project, Ronnie and I read books about the Philippines, watched a Discovery Channel documentary called "The Ghosts of Bataan," and read my dad's diaries. It was a terrific bonding experience for the two of us and very rewarding for me to see him learning about his grandfather he never met. And today when Ronnie came home from school, he told me he won First Place overall in the Fair -- what a grand Verteran's Day present for his grandfather! I even shed a few tears ...

Hey Rob, I'm not sure where you base your idea that I don't know what I'm talking about regarding Red Dog being a decorated veteran. While Red Dog has a Purple Heart, you're insinuating that you are better than him because yours is for vallor? Besides, Red Dog has other decorations in addition to the Purple Heart and I have a feeling that in Red Dogs case, as his tour of duty in combat was for an extended period of actual combat time, perhaps several of his decorations fall into the valor catigory as well? Secondly, you actually suggest that by you starting fights left and right here in the Allman Brothers Guest Book, has helped keep me, an American citizen, free? Here's your quote in answering my query as to why you are always picking fights here on the Guest Book(s). "Oh and Chris its that kind of Hate and agression thats kept the wolf away from the door so you can sleep with no fear..and say what you wish..I'm sorry you wouldn't know anything about that" I need you to clarify that for me please as I'm sure a few dozen other posters here and at Dickey's with whom you have picked fights with, would be entirely facinated and on the edge of their seats to hear your explanation for that logic. Additionally, I would like to congradulate you for perhaps, and hopefully being the only individual on all of the HTW sites who gauges people, not by the content of their charicter, values, and integrity... ... but rather, by how much money they make!!! Now THAT says more than any words can ever say, doesn't it? ๐Ÿ˜ฎ ๐Ÿ˜ฎ ๐Ÿ˜ฎ .
