Nic, the Ohio state record smallmouth is a 9+lb'er caught from Lake Erie by Bass Pro Kevin Van Dam's brother. I know about those brown fish up your way. My buddy fished hard there for years before he moved to Va. His biggest was 6 something.

Rick, thanks for the being so civil as I was probably not feeling civil when I posted. It is in a thread about Pelosi'S district and the whole story occurs later on in the thread. The history goes back to '77 as I understand it. Tommy, Phyllis brought our big dale out today and the cold doesn't bother him, but the ice balls in his paw pads did. we got about an inch of crystal snow overnight with the sun tring to poke out right now, and it is about 10 degrees.

Skypup. We have some of the finest smallmouth fishing around at Lake Erie. When it's good, it is not hard to average over 3 lbs with an occasional 5+. Since they put on the season, I think they are improving. You can't keep them in May and most of June and that helps take the pressure off. Happy fishing!!!! All I can do is watch fishing on TV this time of year. Hey Carol. I watched fishing this morning and they were catching Snook & Tarpon on the gulf coast. Made me thinbk of you all. I hope this message finds you all doing well. Back to the football game. Peach.

Nic maybe you need to make a trek back down to Florida. Fishing was so-so today. There was a big B.A.S.S. tournament out on Kissimmee today. We gave up our spot to a boat fishing the tournament. We saw them catch 4 nice fish, one around 5lb. On the other hand we only had 4 fish, 1 for me, 3 for my buddy. No keepers, all came on blueberry plastic worms. Heading to Lake Toho Tuesday, have a buddy from Ohio staying there. Last Tuesday when I went over there I had 9 bass for the day, all of them on YoZuri blue/chrome Rattln Vibes.

the weather is interesting here in sunny So. Cal. 26 degrees this morning when I got up. Chilly for this part of the world. Supposed to stay cold here but what we really need is some rain. To all surfers out there some sad news. Cojo and Jalama ranches were sold to a developer for 155 MM. Scotty - If there is anything I can do to help stop the wholesale development of the one of the most beautiful places left on earth I'd love to. My fondest memories of my 12 years living in SB were the 12 or so boat trips to the ranch. 10 ft. Drakes with 3 people out, left and rights, Surfing 12+ Cojo and realising our boat had pulled free and having to paddle over a mile to sea retreive it, scared s%^tless, waiting for a visit from the gray man. Anyway I pray the coastal commision and the SB board of directors can limit the damage. I remember there being limits to what can be built cause of navel station missle testing facility. We'll just have to see. GO Chargers!!!!!!!!

Thanks Jack...I rarely go to the Forum and I do intend to dig into this a little deeper. The bottom line, it stinks (no pun) and smells fishey (no pun) and reeks of politics as usual. I dont like it, and, I would have a hard time assuming Republicans were behind it, but again, I am going to look into it. Thanks Jack.

Be careful, Nic (and Pam, too, of course)! 3 degrees, Jack? It was 73 here yesterday, and it's supposed to be around 76 tomorrow! I have daffodils coming up, and it's January 14. 😮 Still thinking of those who need comfort and peace. Enjoy your day. In the immortal words of Tommy C, "Hi to all my friends!"
