No. 5 - the '68 Jets When I was growing up on Long Island about 100 years ago, sports, music and reading were very big in my house. I was a Jets fan and we lived not far from Hofstra. Every year there was a notice in the paper that Jets players needed rooms to rent, and I could not understand why I could not share my room with a player - like Namath - now I was like 10 and sex was not a thought in my head so I can imagine my parents laughter at my innocence. Missing Mom this week - 3 years gone Sunday.

Still hard to believe that as tough a SOB as Lambert was (without a doubt my favorite Steeler of all time)....his career was done in by turf toe.......

Maxi, add Swan and Stallworth and even that darn Bradswaw, man I loved that team. And Franco, but yes, Lambert with no teeth said it all.

Okay Pigskin Aficionados.. Name the 5 greatest teams in superbowl history and why. Max Says: 1. 85 Bears - Bear Trap D, Sweetness and Linebackers from Hell. This team gets the No. 1 slot despite Ditka who was a total ass. 2. 78 Steelers - Jack Lambert - enough said! 3. 72 Dolphins - Only undefeated team. 4. 93 Cowboys - Aikman - Smith - Ervin and the greatest O-Lineman of all time - Larry Allen 5. 68 Jets - Joe Namath's historic prediction. Just ment to get a good conversation going. Whos the Mac daddy and why?

Linnie - I know the feeling, I grew up in N.J. being a Celtic fan. I loved the Dave Cowens, Robert Parish and Kevin McHale era. Needless to say that loyality improved two skills: -Street fighting -Running Haven't had a damned thing to root about since Len Bias OD'ed. Am a die hard Jets and Yankee's fan as well, so I do have some redeming qualities as a Jersey Boy!
