Dickey has always taken the high road as far as I have seen. I know he and Butch used to play golf together. I say, we don't know and should not speculate. We all would like to see them play together again so let's go for that approach... bury the hatchet, lift each other up, play the best music any band could. spdb

Right on RonE.... That '01 year at the Beacon was the first of 4 for me, the first time Chuck had played with the band in forever and one of the more remarkable things I have or ever will see, musically, in my life. And the thing is, they've only grown and continued to get better and better and better as a BAND. To the point where you don't think it's POSSIBLE to out play their last performace. Low and behold they do it again. Talk about raising the bar. Rock on Allman Brothers Band. 😎 Enjoy the Beacon. I may just make a last minute apperance closing weekend, if the stars align....

ohmygoodnessgracious, i am SO sitting here loading up my Ipod with wonderful musical goodness, and what i just loaded on - and playing right now, almost as if it's coming right off this site - is the marvelous amazing creamy smooth frothy loveliness of "Jessica," 3-24-01, Beacon Theatre. golly moses it's FABOO! makes me HAPPY. hmmmm, that reminds me, that Raleigh '01 version, with the big ol' fat "Birdland" section, is that around here somewhere? until last year, THE loudest explosion of applause i'd ever heard at the Beacon were the ones (yeah, i know) after Chuck's solos in Jessica in '01...but what happened at the end of the set-opening Mountain Jam last year was right there. just DEAFENING! i'm SO stoked for the Beacon this year - last year's run was the BEST EVER, and if i wasn't going to the Beacon, i'd be going to Wanee, THE perfect little rock festival. PERFECT PERFECT PERFECT - the band's gift to the common fan, an egalitarian offering of peace, love, joy, friendship and nonpareil musicianship! did i mention "cheap?" mmm-MMM! have a GREAT weekend everyone!

Good morning everyone! Hey Scott, :waving: If I'm off 3/9, Bob and I will most likely head up there. We will need the name of that nearby hotel you stayed at last time. NOT going to drive back to LI this time. That was a killer! I hope everyone's enjoying their Friday. 🙂

Thank you all for the wonderful birthday wishes. Today is a big day for me as well. I move out of my house and into a peaceful enviornment. Thank you all again for your support, high fives, hugs and maybe a few pecks on the cheek when I see you all at the end of March. Is anyone going to see Jamio 3/9 again in Simsbury CT, would love the company!

In life, there will always be people you don't like. You just have to deal with it. Growing up I didn't like a kid named Marc. If I met him today, I most likely still wouldn't like him. He lives his life and I live mine. On the flip side, this is the first time he's even crossed my mind in about 10 years and perhaps that's the difference between how I feel about Marc and how Butch feels about Dickey. C'est la vie... It ain't my affair. .

Well Luke don't just take their word for it. The article in question is in the AG. You can SEE FOR YOURSELF if Butch did in fact start this nonsense without fueling any more rumours....
