Bup..spiritual moment this morning...Walked out past Heddy's little tangerine tree, where the Orchid you sent still thrives... The strangest thing..a different species of Orchid had come up amongst the larger, older one...small enough to escape my notice until its first blossoms began unfurling this morning...a beautfiul shade of lilac... Heather would have turned thirty, five days from today.....I wondered, why today, where did this come from? Then I saw it was Cindy's day.... God bless Cindy today and always..Much love to Brent , Cindy's family and Bup.... Deb, just saw your post...Love Ya Deb..Looking foward to seeing you too...Ca

thank you Eddie! 😎 it would be a thrill to meet Stills, let alone do a shot of JD with him i would imagine! Honestly, I cannot imagine the classic rock scene without his contribution. "Man Alive" is my top release from 2005 (his first solo in about 15 years i think....) 😎 So, i hoping he plays a bunch off of that disk, Hearts Gate and Spanish Suite would be sweeeet.... expect a full report! i'm "set list girl" tonight :winky:

hey Linnie, have a blast at the Stills show tonight. Speaking of Stills, did anyone catch the BBC Sessions on VH1 Classic last night? They had an hr. of Crosby and Nash from like 71 followed by Neil Young. Great stuff!

And how about TanDan handing out tons of free live tunes on disc at Wanee? He must have had 100 shows pre-burned in sleeves with the setlist. I got a Townes VanZant double disc show that I enjoyed immensely on the ride home. Just another Wanee positive.......Thank you Dan!

Hey Linnie, that Steve Stills show tonight sounds like fun...hope you enjoy it! I have a couple of really nice Stephen Stills memories that I'd like to share. First, I saw him and his solo band at The Paramount theatre in Asbury Park way back around 1981 I think. An amazing show that blew everyone away. He is an incredible performer. Also, after the show he allowed a bunch of us on his tour bus for autographs etc and I got to do a shot of Jack Daniels with him...because I asked to, lol... MY next Stills memory was in 1983 when he joined The Grateful Dead for 2 consecutive nights at The Meadowlands. It may have been the loudest crowd I have ever experienced anytime, anywhere. One night they played "Love The One Your With" and I though the roof would blow off the place. Jerry and the boys were having the time of ther lives and so was Stephen who was enjoying the looseness of The Dead's Jamming style. The energy was like ABB Beacon Theatre multiplied by 100! Anyway, I have always loved Stephen's music and he is one guy that doesn't get talked about enough...

goodlawdy, thanks for that! a friend is *tyring* to twist my arm to go, but i'm going to pass. wish i had realized how good it looked sooner! Luke, you are right about Wanee being good for your spiriit! giddyup! :whip: and, this just in, though i'm sure lots know already: ROSE HILL DRIVE rocks. Their set at Wanee was one of my favorites, and several crystal- clear concert calls from the Rose Hill gig at a small club in ATL confirmed it last night. Of all the bands I yap about, this one appears to have the most commericial viability, and god knows they offer the sex appeal that us girls enjoy as well 😉 I would describe the music is hard-hitting rock, but with a real cool jammy 70's thing coming from a power trio. Tonight: Stephen Stills, (solo!) for me at the Scotish Rite Theater in Collingswood, NJ. I'm real excited, Still's solo work has always gotten a lot of play in my home and i've never seen him without the C,N or Y Prayers going out to the suffering today....peace all over everyone, love, me

Whoops, BEALE ST MUSIC FEST, or as it used to be called Memphis in May: Somebody was asking about it a few pages back. I've been going for a few years now. In fact my first ABB show was there! "Shades of Two Worlds" era '93. Memphis is a dump, but it's got alot of heart and soul. Beale St has been somewhat cleaned up from what it used to be. You can see some good entertainment after the fest if you've a mind. It's a circus on that weekend, but always safe. It generally rains at some point of the weekend. I've been soaked down there every time. But it's always worth it. The line up is excellent this year, obviously with the ABB family, Taj Mahal, Old Crow, The Bar Kays (remember "Soul Finger"?), Elvin Bishop, Steely Dan, etc. They don't allow coolers or chairs. The Blues tent is always a great place to rest and get out of the sun/rain and hear some blues groups you never heard before. Saw Jonny Winter in there last year. Setting: Tom Lee Park. A long stretch of MS riverbank. Big stages at either end, with another big stage and the blues tent in the middle. To the east is the Bluff, to the west is the MS river, so good breeze & a fantastic view. Then there's beale st dead ending at the park. Summary: I love it! Thanks for the Wanee reviews. Went last year and had a blast. Y'all got me jonesin' too! Dave myspace.com/deviltrainmusic
