I'd like to wish a very Happy Birthday to Johnny! :fanfare: The first friends from HTW I met in person at JFC's old Fish Camp in early August 2001 during "Beach-to-Peach". Thanks for everything, my friend! 😀 It's also the birthday of Ray Charles, John Coltrane, and Bruce Springsteen. Seven years ago I was fortunate to be in Raleigh with my dad for the fine 9/23/2000 show, too. What a cool day! 😎

Did you hear 'em talkin' 'bout it on the radio Did you try to read the writing on the wall Did that voice inside you say I've heard it all before It's like Deja Vu all over again Day by day I hear the voices rising Started with a whisper like it did before Day by day we count the dead and dying Ship the bodies home while the networks all keep score Did you hear 'em talkin' 'bout it on the radio Could your eyes believe the writing on the wall Did that voice inside you say I've heard it all before It's like Deja Vu all over again One by one I see the old ghosts rising Stumblin' 'cross Big Muddy Where the light gets dim Day after day another Momma's crying She's lost her precious child To a war that has no end Did you hear 'em talkin' 'bout it on the radio Did you stop to read the writing at The Wall Did that voice inside you say I've seen this all before It's like Deja Vu all over again It's like Deja Vu all over again

Interesting discussion going on in the guestbook - it's always fun to check in here and see the depth of knowledge. Chuck and Gregg are my two favorite keyboard players. Damn, are we blessed or what?! JNB

Pam--LMAO!! Yeah. I did that, too, I guess. Life's full of tough-learned lessons..... Braves lost tonight. Phils won, Mets ahead, but postponed. Even if the Braves win out(doubtful), it still probably wouldn't be enough. I don't think both the Mets and the Phils can keep losing, plus they have a 3 games matchup next week. Not eliminated, but close. I knew that Reds sweep in Atlanta after the break would haunt us...that and the Mets sweep in Atlanta a couple of weeks or so back were the proverbial nails in the coffin.

Bob!! What's up, my brother?!? If the Braves don't catch the Mets (a long shot, but still mathematically possible), I hope the Phillies do!

Hey now, Randy and Brent! Glad the Tide is "rolling" this year under Saban, but...GO DOGS!! Woof woof woof. Should be a heck of a game. In general terms, does the SEC kick butt or what? Even the Kentucky Wildcats are gettin' in on the act. Of course, I'm in ACC country now (for the first time in my life), and they basically just look at football as a distraction until basketball season starts. I asked a "diehard" Carolina fan today who the Heels have this weekend, and she said, "I couldn't tell you. They're not playing at home, and I basically just go for the party." NC State fans are reasonably serious about football, but they haven't had much to cheer about lately. Go Dogs! Go Cats! Go Marlins! Go Braves! 😀
