Hey John, It did help I have seen your picture on this site about a gazillion times, althought the JFD shirt did help. I told my wife when you were walking by I thought I knew you, then you took your jacket off and she saw Duane's picture and she said yeah, you probably do! Great meeting you and your daughter. Kelsey and Andy both scored better than last year, hope your daughter did as well. Looking forward to seeing you again. Hey Michael, hope the band is doing good! And the kids are not driving you crazy this year.

Glad you finally met Wayne, John. Wayne was one of my first friends from this site and has shared so much music with me. How did the music competition go?

Luke you're certainly right about Florida development. There's a book called "A Land Remembered" by author Patrick D. Smith that you might want to read. It gives an amazing chronology of growth in your state and how it began, how it flourished. I've gotten damned near too blind to read novels, but that one in particular you'll never want to put down. Worthy of reading twice. I might have to read it a third time before traveling down to Wanee Fest in April.

Finally met Wayne from this site (and Aiken, South Wack) on yesterday. We were in the "up country" to see our children perform for the SC Band Regionals. He came up to me and said .."John,....I'm Wayne".... Didn't hurt that I had a JFD T-Shirt on... Nice wife and two beautiful children... Hope they did well in the competition...

Here's hoping for your Snow Day Elizabeth! Glad we'll have you with us at the Hilton this year - so looking forward to it! So Steve, what happened? Someone steal your spot on that lake today? Bet someone was spying on you this past week! Better luck next time 🙂

Bluedad is right, SC ain't bad if you're on the coast. Good Lord willing I'll never leave again. I tried South Florida a few years ago in a "chasing a dream around the world" kinda thing but that didn't last long. Pawleys Island is home!!!!!!

Thanks Rob, we tried to do our best, even had to cull fish 3 times, but we didn't have anything big. 9lb something. 19lb won it. Still had a good time, speaking of time, it's time to twist one up and watch the Cowboys!!!

I've been called a lot of things but never a "blankie"....:boomerang: Hope Florida suits you Lizzie. SC ain't bad if you're on the coast. Middle GA would be just right for me if I had to make another move, but that ain't happening.... Lot of pretty, pretty, pretty pretty pretty, pretty girls in FL. You would be right at home!!

Thanks to all for their good wishes. Yessiree, Helen, I do believe I'm Florida bound. If the ABB book Wanee, I'm there and planning to use that plane trip and a car rental to do some scouting further south - looking at the west coast, nearby Naples, where my family moved some years back. Hoping tonight's the last snow storm I have to endure (endure? hell! I'll just sit here on the couch, wrapped in a blankie and drinkin' hot cocoa, watching the flakes pile up). Just hoping for a good ole fashioned Yankee SNOW DAY from work!

Great news Lizzie!! 🙂 Best of luck while trying to figure out your next move... scott, so sorry about your cafe. the food you brought to the beacon last year was wonderful. i can imagine how great the meals at your cafe were. they say when one door closes another one opens so hang in there... to everyone who had a door or two close this past year, may all of the doors you face this year be open....:winky:
