You caught him on a good night, Mitch! I saw him at the Irridium a couple of weeks after his 90th birthday. I stayed for both shows, and Les did come out and sign after the second show. He signed a copy of , "the New Sound" that a friend's mom gave to me. He usually takes a nap between shows, so if you want to meet him you have to stay late!

Hi Terri, That LP belongs to my friend's son, who went to the show as well. I held it for the picture. I did get a pick guard signed. Les is very happy to autograph whatever you bring, and to smile for the camera. He is certainly a National Treasure and I wish him many more years at The Iridium. Mitch

Good morning GBers. *smile* I had one of those cool moments this morning during the commute. A track from Jimmy Smith's Root Down Live came on the pod as I hit the main concourse of Grand Central and it placed me in just the right groove to pass through that crowd of people like a hot knife through buttah! Sometimes I can't go 2 feet without a roadblock. Heh...it's the little things. Hey Mitch.....Sweet picture of you and Les in the fan gallery!! Good day, all!

To woodyca - - - It is somewhat unusual for skunks to be very active and moving around in mid-winter. If indeed it is musk you're dealing with, the oils in your dogs fur are probably contaminated. You'll need to ventilate your home as often as possible with open windows and maybe a couple of fans. Suggest you purchase several reed diffuser bottles for various parts of the house that provide excellent aromatherapy and a variety of flavors. Recommend patchouli or cinammon. Recently, I've been teaching my dog how to play piano, so it shouldn't be too difficult to convince yours to avoid pole cats. Best of luck with your maladorous dilemna.

Hi everyone, today stunk - litterly! My dog got a face full of skunk this morning and charged back into the house before we smelled it coming. I've never had this experience before but this stuff is like tear gas up close. I've tried every remedy on the internet and it still stinks in our house. The mutt seems to have fared better than the house. I took three different kinds of showers before I finally went to work but a least a couple of people caught a whiff. Incredibly embarrassing. Just makes for a lousy day. Well I'm back to boiling vinegar, that is supposed to absorb the house stink! Suggestions appreciated.
