Best wishes, Jody. Happy Birthday, Dave! Fun little music get-together in my little town Sat. night, on the occasion of birthdays of two members of our old garage band of some note, The Bleus. The big 60 for founder Tony Lumpkin. Basically an open jam for area musicians. Notable happenings: My friend Johnny Wiemann, who some of you have met, attended. He was a roadie for the Bleus. Johnny suffered a stroke July of last year, had many complications, family was told he would be custodial for life. Johnny walks without a cane and drives some now. But he hadn't been out for over 2 hours since the stroke. Until Saturday. He joined us at 3:30, stayed till after 9. Such is the power of music. Rusty and Donna came up, blessed me with the framed photo Rusty took of me and Chuck L. (posted elsewhere on the site). Totally unexpected, totally appreciated. A memo of my 60th from a few weeks back. Brent joined in onstage, by far the best of the bunch (imagine that!). The drummer was excellent, currently touring with Billy Bob Thornton. Brent's friend Mona came by late, she was working a Humane Society fundraiser. After observing the scene for a few moments, she commented, "That's the most guitar players I've ever seen on a stage at one time, without sheep." eapfp :looney:

:flower: ((Jody)) Always thinking peachy thoughts of you. A Peachy Happy Birthday to you, Dave! Jeff Griffin- :king: Thanks for the concert calls. I knew you were going to the Friday show in Ithaca but I was floored when you called during Willin’ on Saturday. Did you see the Cherry Blossoms? Lana- Thanks for the good news POG. I'm still suffering from Beacon withdrawal. Now I can look forward to August. Can I request a new Smilie code? I wanted to post a peachy vibe symbol. Can you add a peach or two? Just a thought. Have a peachy Monday! :insert peachy symbol here:

Happy Birthday Dave! "Would I rather be right or happy?" - that's a great question to ask... BTw - we were in the msuic store last week and on an impulse we bought Emily one of those starter Fender Squier guitar and amp kits...not sure if she'll be ready to replace Bluedad at next Wanee or not....

***** Elder's Meditation of the Day - April 21 "Conciliation is the key to survival. Peace is the goal." --Haida Gwaii, Traditional Circle of Elders When we make decisions or experience conflict we need to look at the greater whole. The end result we want to accomplish is peace of mind. If we keep this goal in mind, we will, overall, live a happy and fulfilling life. Everything in the world is constantly changing so we should not resist this change. A good question to ask ourselves is, "Would I rather be right or happy?" If we would rather be happy, then it is easier to let the little things go. If we would rather be right, we tend to look for the WIN/LOSE. Great Spirit, today, give me the tools to seek peace of mind. ***** Happy Birthday Brother Dave...... :fanfare: :flower: (((((((JodyGirl))))))) :flower:
