I'm sure some of you know the tragedy that occurred here in Midland, TX, yesterday. We had a train crash into a parade procession of wounded Veterans. The parade was for Hunt for Heroes which is a program that honors the men and women of our military by providing outdoor opportunities (ie. hunting, biking, fishing, etc.) to those injured in service to our country. In response to this tragic event, 15% of all ticket proceeds to the upcoming January 5th Gregg Allman show will go to assist the veterans and their families. Just in case you didn't see it here... and you didn't for some odd reason: Hittin The Note to Take over Atlanta Radio Station On Tuesday Morning Hittin The Note records artists with The Allman Brothers Band On Tuesday morning, Hittin The Note magazine and record label will takeover the popular Atlanta “Good Morning Blues” program on WRFG. HtN founder Joe Bell and Atlanta music veteran Nancy Lewis-Pegel will join host Black Jack for an appropriate merging of two independent music forces—the ever-alternate WRFG, and the ever-enduring Hittin The Note. Listeners can expect anecdotes from Bell and Pegel’s combined 40+ years working in the music business as well as a variety of music the likes of which HtN records has put out for 20 years – soulful, rootsy, rockin and timeless. This will include music from the Allman Brothers’ archives as well as select cuts from the HtN family of artists including Gov’t Mule, the Tedeschi/Trucks Band, Jaimoe’s Jassszez Band, Wet Willie, Randall Bramblett, Geoff Achison, Tommy Talton and others. The program will air from 7am-9am Tuesday, November 20 on WRFG (89.3 fm) and will stream live on www.wrfg.org. www.wrfg.org Included will be two brand new songs from Hittin the Note artist Randall Bramblett. His band will perform a special 5pm pre-release at Eddie’s Attic on Saturday, November 24 in celebration of the forthcoming Bramblett release, The Bright Spots.
