I just wanted to say, i got to see my first Allman Brothers Concert in Hershey, Pa. and it was fabulous!!! i've listened to their music and never got to see them in person. Bob Weir and the Ratdogs opened up for them.. it was the best way for me to celebrate my birthday with my boyfriend...

Condolences to bluedrummer. I would think that Butch came to the site to check in for reviews that have been posted about the tour so far. Instead he see's the same old crap that some just can't let go. It's fine if you're angry about Dickey being out of the band, but to continue to beat the dead horse on the GB needs to end. Live for today. We have great music still happening, including this current lineup, which many of us plan our vacations around, to get the joy it still brings us. To me, this band is incredible and I'm grateful to keep going to hear shows, as long as they choose to play. If it's not your thing, go support what you want to support, whoever it may be.

You know we'll never get to really enjoy our lives so long as we live in the past or fall back on the past to support our current place in the world. My dad and I are both ex-Marines(there really isn't such a thing) and we've had our differences and estrangements over our lives. A few months back we reconciled after a long silence and it was really peaceful and deep. I lost him this morning, but I'm at peace because we realized whatever was past is gone. I ask for prayers and good thoughts for my son and my wife who are taking it really hard. Live now enjoy each precious moment, be patient and share the abundant love that emanates from this unique group of folks. Peace to you all.

Hey, I can’t believe network execs haven’t tapped into this yet. Talk about reality show gold. Hot damn! You could get ex employees to speak their minds and have cameras follow them around. We’d need a name though. Mayhap something like ā€œThe Biggest Whinersā€ The least curmudgeony one in the bunch would get voted out on a weekly basis. :bawl: Maybe instead of the Boys doing a Beacon run next year, they could try on a few alternative ideas. Judge Judy could have Allman Brothers week, where everyone gets to tell their story, and she decides who’s justified and who isn’t. :cop: Hold congressional hearings as to whether the band conducted their business affairs in accordance with the fair trade act. :hammer: Rent out MSG and have political style debates about who should stay, go or be reinstated. :argue: Celebrity ABB boxing. 9 rounds and the loser can never say another word again….ever! :ninja: I could go on…. I mean really, who wants to listen to that silly ā€˜ol jamming anyway? It’s just soooooo loooooong and boring. So much so that I’ll keep going to shows and spending money and time just so I can return to the GB and biatch up a storm. :bigflame: Come on people… I mean doesn’t someone like Cher deserve a 2nd chance? :boomerang: WTF??????! :bash:

Hug the people you love. Forgiveness is a beautiful thing. Resentment eats you from the inside out. Random observations, and not directed to or towards anyone. I agree with you wholeheartedly Dave...my heart is breaking for your friends and your kids...love you

I'm curious as to why one never seems too see Warren in any of the guitar magazines. I'm not a player but when I'm in Borders and poking around it seems like there is rag after rag with Metallica, Kiss, Lynnard Skynnard, Ozzie, STP, Nirvanna ad nausseum but no sign off one of the most prolific songwriters / Players out there. Is he not recognized by his peers as a huge talent? It just surprises me.

Oh man, the excitement is building in Denver and I don't mean the democrats' convention. Weather is good and should be all weekend. 2 great Red Rocks shows and our own little concert at a small club to kick it all off. Cruzpro said he can't make it 3 nights in a row, so I said I'd drag him along with me-hope to get some help! Remember to print directions while you still have computer access!
