Tommy, you should hear the tape of Randall's Wanee set. KILLER is the best way to describe it.

Jody you sweet thing. You hit the nail on the head with that post. Who would ever know that that song would have such great meaning as it does today today. It does say it all. Obama should use that song to its full advantage. sibwlkrs, and Jacquie, I hear you and understand, but before I go I would like to say. Lana just posted not to post political stuff in the WP. Unless I read that wrong, or she might have hit the wrong keys. I would like to mention that Lana herself posted a political comment yesterday. Now on this great day I sure do not see what it hurts. I ask that you let Lana tell us not to post political stuff here on this great day. One day for us all. You sibwlkrs, it seems to have an ax to grind with Rick. I have done battle with words flying back and forth with him. I know all about him. He is a smart man. We could learn something from him. That is if we open up our minds.

OK Familia- Here's (I hope) a pleasant change of topic...It's called "Check out the Randall Bramlett Band CD" "NOW IT'S TOMORROW". Wow man, this is what I call progressive Southern music...and no one is doin' like RB! Check out the tune "Blue Road"...I saw them in NYC right before Jam for Duane and boy what a cool soundtrack to ride down to! Randall was great as always...but his band including Davis Causey on guitar *(Sealevel)..and the rest of his cats really shook up The Cutting Room. Go grab a listen and take your minds off the crap for a while. You'll find yourselves struttin' and boppin around the house...whims of Sea Level and where OTHER southern bands coulda gone! BRAVO RANDALL!! Ya made me proud in NYC when the South came to visit!!

Reddog, Let's see how fast someone come's over to Guest Book and say how wonderful it is that Obama won the Presidency, and what a great thing it is for America, yada, yada and see how fast RickT 'jumps their sh*t" for saying so. RickT has a long-time reputation for doing such things, and getting arguments going on the Guest Book. Lana and Rowland have a provide a place to have "political discussions" and the heated arguments that generally seem to follow, and it's called the "Whipping Post" forum. Both you and RickT are welcome to drop by and join in the festivities.

I'll break with GB etiquette and post one poltical thought about the aftermath of the election.... Despite who you voted for, you surely don't want the winner of the election to fail as our new president, do you? If he fails, we ALL fail. Get behind the president elect.

I figured we'd get some racist comments today from our 'favorites' here. very impressive. Darrell Scott is a GREAT songwriter - I'll be blasting that song today - thanks for the reminder, Seth. Haynes/Farmer 2012! 😎

People can you feel it? Love is everywhere. People can you hear it? Love is in the air. We're in a revolution. Don't you know we're right. Everyone is singing. Yeah! There'll be no one to fight. People can you feel it? Love is everywhere. People can you feel it? Love is everywhere. Love is everywhere. Love is everywhere. :waving:

I agree with RD too - McCain just didn't seem up to the task or even have a clue how the majority of us struggle making ends meet day to day. It would of been more of the same with McCain....

Thank You RedDog comes with my Military Training. Once the Commander In Chief is identified gotta support him/her. Did the same with Clinton. Bush sure did leave the party a complete and total mess. Leah M Sounds good you can substitute for a $7.00 bag of beacon popcorn:) I do not look at today as some kind of disaster just because who I voted for lost the majority rules America got who she wanted.

sibwlkr, not to be rude, but you should sit back and take it all in. This is a day for all of us. We have a new leader. Not something for the back pages. a day, as Rick said, to reflect is not going to hurt you. Looses up and enjoy. Come on in and joy the party. Its fun. Its just a day of joy for a lot of people. I think you might have voted the wrong way and you do not want it thrown back at you. I can dig that. Just skip the post that you see are talking about something you do not want to talk about. That is what I do. It does work.
