This Christmas Jam was not for the faint of heart! If you were on the floor for both nights, you had damn well be in some type of concert shape. 10 hours of standing and dancing on a concrete floor was beating even the young guns down! Incredible music, great vibe, partying shouder to shoulder floor buddies and dancing beauties abound! This was by far the best Jam yet! Kudos to the MAN!
A late nite from ASheville.
Everyone is crashed but me. ( Surprise). jUST Tuned up after boys-Giants,
Great Christmas Jam. If you get a chance, do it. This one was special. J P JOnes, Johnny Winter. PLUS :pmusic: Tal Wilkenfeld All of the rest. Mule, ABB, DTB, Susan T.

So glad you had a great time Heidi!!! I will be there with ya'll next year... Warren does an amazing job putting the Winter Jam together and all for such a great cause too 🙂
Has the Beacon run been re-scheduled yet? I've heard maybe March, but don't know for sure?
Or better yet "take an ex to work" day 🙂
So maybe the stipulation for a show with Dickey, is that everyone that goes has to bring an ex. Not any ex, but one they truly despise. Perhaps an ex spouse, or in-law, boss, etc... You have to stay with them throughout the entire show and play nice. Wouldn't that be fun? :bash:
Just returned from my !st Christmas Jam. All I can say is WOW. There is no smiley for amazed, exausted, blown away, just WOW......Pat< Sid.Barb & Wallace......Great new and wonderful friends from the purply place. Just love these folks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Can't wait for the next big thing.............
Doc McGhee? Wasn't he the guy that facilitated the Eagles' Hell Freezes Over Tour? He also facilitated Sammy Hagar re-joining Van Halen in 2004 (he was both VH's and SH's manager at the time, I believe) and then when that fell apart he facilitated David Lee Roth re-joining VH. If DLR can get back together with VH (or more accurately, if the VH brothers could get back together with DLR) then anything's possible in the music world in terms of reunions.
I'm still with Horace Gammet's thought-process from his earlier posting - that it's very unlikely that it will ever happen that Dickey rejoins the other three, even in a guest slot for a few one-offs at the Beacon or wherever. But for the exact reason Capn mentions (and I'm surprised that wasn't pointed out here previously), anything is possible with the original 4, so I don't rule it out completely that it could happen. If the Eagles and VH (and others) can do it, and the ABB did it previously when the shoe was on the other foot with Gregg, then I think it's still a legit possibility, however small the odds.
(Can't believe I'm weighing in on this one, even though I'm totally waffling on the "it's a possibility but won't ever happen" line of thought.)
when scooter was ratted out, Dickey said he would NEVER play again, but he did...
FORGIVENESS is truly a wonderful character trait
I hear you. Look at this way. Lets take the Eagles. Not sure about what I am saying . Came to me by a friend.
Dickey's Manager, is the same guy, who so I understand ,put the Eagles back together. Now the story goes, that the Eagles would not talk, or be seen with each other. When they played they would not let another members roadie, come in their section on the stage. Now this was taking things way out. Then they went separate ways. This guy that is Dickeys Manager was the guy who helped get the Eagles back together. I believe he was their Manager. Now if all this is true, then maybe this guy, has something on the ball. Knows how to deal and communicate with people in this type of situation. Which only means there is hope. I'm not big on the hope thing, if it works then I will go with it. I do believe there is a shot.
Hi Carol. I hope this message finds you doing well. I was not part, but my daughter Sarah works at the Kroger which sold the winning ticket. They had their Christmas party last night and lots of buzz about the ticket. Krogers is donating the $100,000 they got to local charities. A very nice gesture during these difficult times.
Invite Dickey back to the ABB at the Beacon in 2009!!!! 😎 Peach.
" we'll reach the end & we'll all be singing & we'll al be friends... back where it all begins"
Guys make it happen... All four back on stage for the 40th...
awww B B B ..... Bring Back Betts...
Anyone listening ??
Can you make dreams come true ???
True enough Dog. Firing Dickey put things in motion that HAD to be settled in order to close the deal.
Allright then. That was then and this is now.
From a money, personal wealth, business perspective, these guys OWE US. They have a business, we are the customer. Otherwise they would be doing construction somewhere in bumfuc Georgia playing clubs and raising rug rats.
I know, when you are living the good life its hard to think you owe anybody anything. What folks are asking is simple yet very hard; to take the music back to the roots. While there are still roots in this ABB music, take it back.
Honestly, I still am of the opinion I am not so sure it can "happen". Again, fat cats with money sometimes forget the road they had to take when the digging had to be deep. Now, its pretty much on auto pilot. Without Dickey, even the potential of the nut happening...can't.
Pride is the problem.
Rick, you know how it is in a family feud. No rhyme or reason. Or at least that is the saying. Hurt feeling cause a lot of bad thinking on both sides of the issue. Other thing pop up to keep the fires burning and in the end, most of the time, the real reason was lost in the shuffle. Most do end, in a happy ending, with family members getting back together. Time will tell, on this one. One thing is for sure. If we keep talking about it, they will hear about it. If they hear about it, they will think about it. If they think about it. It has a chance to become reality. If we do not show how we feel they will not hear. We don't need to run it in the ground, but keep talking on both sites. This is just my opinion, my plan to set the attack in motion.Full frontal assault. Speak often speak loud. Gain ground and push the issue. Keep that one eye open.
About the hearings. There where a lot of things that had to be cleared up. Rights to this and rights to that. Who could use this and who could use that.
This has been a, this and that post.
Nic-y...I am praying that you and Pam are in on that Piqua$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$!!!
church sign says.."Today is a miniature eternity...Enjoy it"..Ca
Actually it was 4:15AM when the last note of ABB was played...
I get the pun, 4:20 ... but honestly, did it go that late?
Xmas jam was great. Overall, Friday was the a bit better, but both nights were fun & worth it. Fri. ended at 4:20. A setlist correction, Mule played Simple Man (I think it was 3rd song), with Travis Tritt, it was good
