 Jeannie..your post reminds me of a line from an Ole Waylon tune.."turned the other cheek some many times, I damned-near wore it out"..
Im feeling :reddancer: this morning..Fixed Tostitos with Black Bean and Corn Salsa for breakfast , smothered in Mexican cheeses..
washing it down with a Mocha-cino...
Hil, if you are out and about, will be here in El Jobean til around 1:30 this afternoon...
I copied a bunch of posters and have hit a few places where music-lovers gather..Fisherman's Village , Willies and Gatorz :bike: Bars, The Music Stand, TJ's Music..and also one of the local Dr's offices ( who sidelines as a musician)
The Harley Dealer accepted poster, but requires a face-to-face with new owner. She will be in later this afternoon, and can also help organize a :bike: poker run...
The Grandbabies and I will get a few more out at the Guitar-army gathering this evening on the Peace River..Hope it helps..
Lana, I cant scan poster to you, (scanner is disabled because of all the govt printer/junk business requires,) but maybe can fax it(?)
Im thinking poster would feel at home on the home-page..

wake up Mama...........
wow this Deeluxe LAFE is the stuff........new life to an old fan.
the Fillmore Concerts "just ain't cuttin' it"..........said Callahan to the mayor of San Fran.
it takes them over 4 minutes just land the plane and put an end to WP..........
I know I know this > but am listening with "new ears" so to speak.
that stuff Jaimoe does is such an incredible compliment into the mix.
one thing for certain > for the players out there who do ABB tunes........a refresher course will probably tell you to play a bit faster.
😎
I'll have my Allman Brothers Band...with a side of Moogis...and a Betts back, please.
Hey now, Jeanne!
Elizabeth still has her father's haircut, but it's definitely starting to fill out. Looks like she's going to have sandy blonde hair with just a whisper of red tint to it. The eyes are as blue as they can be.
Good to see you, buddy!
😀
Interesting Gregg interview on the home page. He honestly put to rest the chances of Dickey appearing at The Beacon. I'm not happy about it but at least i'll be entering the building without any expectations of Dickey showing up. Frankly out of all of the guests discussed including Clapton and Aretha, Dickey was the only one that I actually got excited about. The stuff we don't know that went on with the band post Duane and up until 2000 when Dickey was fired must have been incredible.
Somebody say crazy pills?! :burger:
GreatScott...your lil peach is a year already?! Wow. Tell me, is there some red on that 1 year old head yet? Took me about 2 years to sprout some peach fuzz.
Yum...this LemmingAid sure tastes better than piss and vinegar. :haveabeer:
For Lana - :clapping: You are real lesson in patience, class and etiquette. Unfortunately, the ones that need the lesson most seem to be slow learners. I don't know how you do it. You are a much stronger woman than I. How many cheeks do you have to turn, anyway?
I heard Boz on the pod this morning and this Hercules verse came through loud and clear:
Like a bird on the wing
I just wanna be free enough to do my thing
I can feel the pressure on every side
If you're not gonna help, don't hurt, just pass me by
Hope to see a bunch of your smiling faces down the road a bit. :bounce:
Hey Susea, Hilarie, Michael (who I know is at school now) :waving:,
It's great to start the day with you! 🙂
I missed AI last night (Moogis work), but recorded it to watch later. Thoroughly enjoyed Monday. So, you can count on me not to do any chastising 😉 Heck, all my family, friends and business contacts know it's ok to call me anytime ... except when AI is on. 🙂
Take care and know that you are loved,
Lana <--- also a fan of DWTS :reddancer:
I'm awake too, whew. Too early for me. I go to bed at 1-2AM, but my son has a big day at school. Could someone pass the French Vanilla creamer.
Lana, how's that Idol going. I hope I don't get chastised for being a fan. No laughing out loud please.
Happy Thursday everyone!!!!!!
I'm awake! :sunny:
:eyes:
Good mornin' sweet family :sunny:,
Time to rise and shine! :glow: :glow::glow: :glow:

Take care and know that you are loved,

Yep, ponygirl does play drums. Back in 2001, her drums and her drumming were relatively new to her.
That was our first Beacon and one of my fondest memories. My sister, I love her.
peace and love...
brontosauri.
Yan, Television was one of the great guitar bands of the '70s....their first record, Marquee Moon, is a flat-out classic, one of the best guitar records of all time. I've been a fan of Tom Verlaine (not his real name-Miller is but he took the name of some French poet) for a long time. Dreamtime is his best solo record.Didn't know he was from Morristown....got friends/cousins from that area and hung out there for a bit during my college years in the '70s.
Haven't posted in 2 or 3 years, but just heard "Down In The Flood," lead off track from Derek Truck's new CD - wow!!! Rhapsody highlighted the CD in their new release section. Great track. When does he have time to play with the ABB, tour, family and put together and record a great CD? By the time I get out of bed, it's time to go back to sleep... no joke, I really am 2 old!
LOVE the photo of FRANKIE LOMBARDI...one of my all-time FAVORITE DRUMMERS EVER! MAN, that guy can play so powerfully, and with such finesse.
I also love that :flower2: LANA played the drums in elementary school!
Luvn' it! 😀
:flower2: EasyMichael we had a couple of girl drummers in our marching/symphonic band. 😀
I thought of you the other day because I was looking up Tom Verlaine (Patti Smith had mentioned him) and saw that he was from Morristown, NJ, head of a group called Television.
THERE'S that broken record...:)
