Happy Birthday, Ellen! :fanfare: Enjoy your cake! I just noticed (okay, I'm slow) that Charlotte gets two dates? From "Save the Charlotte date" to two nights in a row? Well, cool for them! :looney: Raleigh on a Sunday? I guess I'm already feeling kind-of poorly that following morning... 😉

Happy Sweet Sixteen to Ellen and Barry. Just got back from the Spirit of the Suwannee Music park for Springfest and I am ready to go back for Wanee right now. The bathrooms were pretty clean and the water main did not break this time! Bring on the Atl date!!!

have seen WSP several times. they are a very good band with a distinct sound and texture. crowd is younger, rowdier, drunker........ their lead singer has a very raspy voice that can be annoying.......... jams are good and they will play anything.......kinda like Warren. they released some LIVE recordings with The Dirty Dozen Brass Band that are terrific. 😎

I hate to admit it, but I have never seen WSP perform. They used to play in Augusta at the Riverwalk Amphitheater. I did see Dave Schools on the street in Athens one time, but that was as close to seeing them live as I have been.

:birthday: sweet sista Elf :birthday: Barry :birthday: and belated :birthday: Marsha!! Gotta leave for work, just ran past the house from my weekend road trip to drop off a few things and most of all leave this message: Shirley and Josh, IF you see this message, PLEASE send me a PM with your email info. I have pix to share w/ you from last nite. SO sorry I didn't make it upstairs to chat, but by the time break came, the Capt. had me in the 'one legged stance' arrrgghhh... and the stairs didn't seem to be a good idea. :lol2: Shirley I really want to 'cruise chat' w/ you. Hope one of y'all sees this. Gotta run, Prayers and vibes to lil' bro, Tyler. LoveNPeace, Carole

Buppalo, Wsp is certainly worth seeing at least once... very good group of musicians... I saw them a few years back in NYC .. they had George McConnel on guitar... he was definetly a devotee of Mr. Betts

My .02...I've never seen Widespread, but have listened to some of their stuff at a place I frequent. Pretty interesting stuff IMHO. And I love Herring. I also respect the musical opinion of a number of WP fans. But it would be unlikely that I would ever go to one of their shows. So, I hope that there is a double-bill nearby. It would be a fun way to see what they're all about live.

Brofan, thanks for the kind words. It's funny, I was recently thinking about all the great music discussions on this site over the years and about your wealth of knowledge and great discussions around blues music/musicians. Learned a good deal from some of those threads. Susea, great seeing you also! :birthday: Marsh & MissElf & Barry!!!

Hello, I am asking for a little info. I live in the Jacksonville, Fl. area, have seen several ABB and GAF shows in Ga and Fl. Thinking of going to WANEE this year, but my idea of camping is the Hyatt (HolidayInn), may even buying the vip tickets for parking, food, etc. I know several motels are in the area, but about the bathrooms and other facilities at the campgrounds? I know its not going to be grand, but is it clean? Thank you in advance for any advice. Trainrunner
