Happy Birthday, Berry Oakley. I *love* your bass playing. Sari's facebook page indicates that her birthday is tomorrow...but people are wishing her a HB there, too. Well, she deserves two days of celebrating--or more! Happy Birthday, Sari! :fanfare:

Dave, look at the bright side: at least they're startin' out with 40 Dollar tickets! For the best reserved seats, and 2 major bands. 🙂 The other angle is this: makes it mighty convenient for men to tell their wives, "the tickets are just 40 bucks apiece!" (and they're not *really* lying) 😉

I just read where it said there is a GIANT arctic shelf of Ice that is ready to break free. They're attributing it to the performance of Whipping Post at the Beacon... 😎

Scott, I hear ya. Two $40 seats cost me $117 after you ad $6 each for parking and $12.50 each service charges. The service charge equates to over 25% of the cost of the ticket price. Plus, I'll be carpooling with my Road Dawg, but we get nailed TWICE for the parking fee. That's $37 in fees, nearly the price of another seat. Take your f***in' and keep on truckin'.

In cities where they are playing 2 shows, like Charlotte and Chicago, they are alternating as I suspected.

Well, I've got to hand it to the Live Nation site. Still getting raked over the coals with service--oh, sorry, "convenience"--charges, but I don't remember ever being able to actually CHOOSE my seats with Ticketmaster. Not as close as I might have liked, but in the middle, on the aisle, behind the board. Sound should be pretty good there. Now for the big question...which band goes on first? Are they going to do like they did with Phil & Friends a few years back, where they alternate nights opening and closing? Anyway, the good news is, I'm in for Raleigh!!

It is hard not dreaming of a great Red Rocks weekend after the epic Beacon run. I am hoping for an 'Evening With..' or just ABB family bands.

April 3 - Daily Feast A walk in the silent woods is not silent at all. Stand still and listen. The thump of a downy woodpecker on a hollow log, the tiny hooves of a deer scooting through last season's leaves, and best of all, the soft rumble of thunder and the spatter of drops on the broad leaf of the hickory. These are remedies for a weary soul and tranquil moments for a tired body. Who knows, if we stand still and listen - we may hear an angel's wings. ~ Today I send a voice for the people in despair. ~ BLACK ELK - SIOUX HOLY MAN "A Cherokee Feast of Days, Volume II" by Joyce Sequichie Hifler *****

"EZM is already hating the late night drive back to Richmond (and work), but he'll be there" No, EZM is already thinking he'll be feeling poorly on that Monday. 😉 Thanks for doing the ticket shopping, Jim! Enjoy the C&C show tonight, Lana! :burnout: Thanks for the call and invite!

Watching the great Warren Haynes soar into the sky on "Sugaree" with Lesh & Weir. Lord that man plays a soulful guitar! You can't help but wonder "what might have been" had Jerry cleaned up his act. Wouldn't it be great to have seen him up there with ABB during this Beacon run? Look at the way Gregg turned his life around and how terrific he was at the Beacon. EAPFP
