The Palm Beach Daily News reports today, February 25, 2026, that Dickey Betts has been honored with a memorial highway through his hometown.
Fans will recall this line from the song Ramblin’ Man: “I was born in the back seat of a Greyhound bus rolllin’ down Highway 41.”
Now a stretch of Highway 41 near Dickey’s longtime hometown of Osprey has been designated the Dickey Betts Memorial Highway.
