You don’t see shows like this any more. This was my first time to see Lynyrd Skynyrd, and they are still one of the greatest rock bands. They played some old viedo of the original band as they played. Brought back a lot of good memories from my younger days. They played a great show.
Then the Allman Brothers came out. I saw them back in San Antonio on June 10, 1970, and it was ZZ Top opening, then the Allman Brothers, and Quicksilver. I still think the Allman Brothers were the best band that night. I say that was one of the best concerts I’ve ever been to. I was curious to see how they were going to sound after all these years. Well the first song answerd my question. This was the first time I’ve heard Derek and Wayne play live, and they blew me away.I close my eyes and it could have been Duane and Dickey up on the stage trading licks. Jaimoe, Butch, Marc, and Oteil awed struck me. In my opion Greg can be one of the best blues musican,singer and songwriter. This was what a concert is supose to be about. Great music. Great Musicans. Great Songwriters.The only problem I had was, I could have set there for a few more hours listening to them. I know they have been through a lot over the years. I hope they can stay together for years to come.

This is what a concert is suppose to be.Not stage acts with all the weird things they do to make it through a 2 hours set because they don’t have the talent to do it on their own talent.
