The Allman Brothers Band

Wow, what a show.

The set list is readily available elsewhere, so no need to repeat it here.

Show started early at 740 or so, so we missed the first tune.

However, the end of the show was three for three: Dreams, then Mountain Jam, followed by Whipping Post encore that absolutely smoked the whole shed.

The thing about the Mountain Jam was that they played Blue Sky in the middle, where others are listing ‘jam’. It was a jam, but it was a Blue Sky jam that had no lyrics.

Susan Tedeschi was super great. Karl Denson was just okay on Instru Illness.

If you can find a copy of this show, get it. Or buy the one from Clear Channel. Do whatever you can to get this show. If you have a chance to see this band, do so by all means.

Too bad they still aren’t playing Dickey’s Material. Grow up and bury your hatchets boys.
