The Allman Brothers Band

I can’t recall the entire set list but I do remember that this concert kicked ass! .38 Special played a 30 minute set. Molly Hatchet followed and finished their set with Dreams. ABB came on around 920 PM and played two songs, Ramblin Man and Jessica. They finished those songs around 1015 and took a break.
They came back out after 15-20 minutes and cooked. I can’t remember when they finished playing that night, it was well after 115 AM. I recall we didn’t leave the parking lot til around 4 AM. Some of the songs, in no particular order, were I Got a Right to be Wrong, You Don’t Love Me, Statesboro Blues, Liz Reed, Southbound, Blue Sky, Crazy Love and acoustic versions of Melissa and Never Knew How Much. The clock struck midnight in the middle of Whippin Post. Dickey started playing Auld Lang Syne a few moments before 12. He popped a bottle of champagne and tossed it into the second row. I was a few rows short but at the time I didn’t need any of that to keep the buzz going. Damn good show to ring in the new year with.
