I was 16 when this show happened. The event was called the Berlin Airlift. Grand Funk Railroad were the headliners. Pacific Gas & Electric, Crow, and many local bands (Tractor & Crank) warmed up. The whole thing started in the afternoon… Hendrix had just died and there were many tributes that day… ABB came on around dusk, because I remember they were the 1st ones to use the stage lights. I don’t remember the set list, but do remember they did Don’t Want Ya No More and It’s Not My Cross To Bear. They kicked ass! I wish I’d had payed closer attention and realized just what I was witnessing at the time.
