Bit too early for cold beers here Garry ... breakfast coffee at the moment ... but then I am off to the City shopping with Jan so I imagine a cold beer will not be too far off !!

Had some crappy weather to drive through yesterday.
Five hours of in and out of rainstorms.
Some major flooding near here due to the huge amount of rain we got yesterday.
Now it'scold, damp and not conducive to taking Jeanne's grand kids to the park.
On the bright side, next Saturday is Mule-O-Ween!!!
Hope you manage to have a good time despite the weather, Ron ... and I am very jealous ... always liked the mule-o-ween shows ... would love to go to one ... the only music event on my horizon is taking Jan to see Cat Stevens in London next month for our 37th anniversary celebration ...

No Garry ... never seen Donovan ... have a couple of old LPs of his though ... must dig them out and give them a spin ...

I've wanted to get a tablet for some time now, finally bought a Nextbook 2 in 1 last week.
Good price but not exactly wott I wanted after reading the reviews.
Picked it up from Walmart but it was days after I had hoped to get it, didn't arrive in time for the trip to Boston.
Tuesday I got an email from Walmart that they've rolled back the price on the Galaxy tablet.
$100 less now, same price as the Nextbook.
Bought one, took back the Nextbook today.
I am loving this thing!
Beats the hell out of lugging my laptop around on trips.
Since it's Android it's like having a bigger version of my smart phone.
I'm a happy camper.

I'm anti-ianything.
Jeanne has an ipad, I've used it but don't care for the setup.
Having the Android OS on the Galaxy makes it that much easier to use.
Top it off with the $199 price, it can't be beat.
Only 16GB on board memory but that's fine for me now.
If I need to I can add a micro SD card to it and increase the memory.

Yeah, that is the big advantage of the Samsung that you can add SDs to it ... I will probably end up going down that route ... cheers mate!

I'm still basking in the afterglow of a Wednesday night in Wrigleyville, even though work kept me from the seventh largest gathering in human history today! 😮
Catching up with some recent amazing vinyl finds tonight-a nice upgrade of Mountain Climbing!, Free Your Ass Funkadelic, and a few Keef Hartley Band albums.
Dave Mason put on a solid show, too bad they only sold 400 tickets.
I have a feeling the crowd will be bigger at the Mule show tonight.
