Last night may be the last ABB show for some time unless theres some reunion or get togethers of fragmented bands. The rain did not fall on my parade ever since I became a fan some forty years ago and it never will because we have the Tedeschi-Trucks and Gov't Mule bands. They will carry on for a good while. Gregg may carry on with his band on occassion. The Allman magic still lives on.

Why do they have to retire, the original members can still deliver, listen to the tapes from Oct. 24, go under the Beacon Moogis title for links.

They will be missing Derek and Warren, why can't they recruit other guitarists till they find suitable replacements? Most of us can name some that would be up to the task, yes people get older, their lives change, but it doesn't mean the music has to end.

We could all ramble off fantastic guitarists, and the band knows more of them than we do.

Nobody's asking for a rigorous tour schedule. Every three months, tour for a month, take 2 days off in between shows. The Beacon is hard on them doing it every night with days off only after 3 nights.Touring four months a year is do-able or do-ABBle. There is nothing wrong in playing smaller venues. At this point it would be playing for the music, not the money cause everybody's already got it made in the shade financially.

The fans feel abandoned (ABBandoned), this just don't seem right at this time.

Imho, because Derek and Warren and terribly bored with the material and their own projects give them freedom under their own banners.

I'd bet Tedeski Trucks and Gvt Mule tour together and they will cross paths with Gregg doing his own band tour. There will be more magic. Just not as often.

Gregg has to take care of himself and probably should slow down a bit. Warren and Derek have earned the right to take their own projects as high as they can go.

Hopefully, this will work out perfectly for all concerned. And those Gigs happen every now and then!

Talk about hard to get tickets! LOL
