Are folks so angry and upset with President Trump equally mad about the WHO response?

The are on record saying a travel ban was unecessary as well as going on record to discourage the use masks while outside. Then you have the lack of WHO leadership to force the country of origin of this virus (CHINA) to disclose details that could have helped other countries realize how bad this virus really is.

When a person's house is on fire, first thing is to put the fire out.
Look for the cause later.
OK, so the WHO messed up, as you and others may say. Wear a mask, wash your hands, keep your distance, be safe. Everything else is beyond your (our) control.

Which is exactly why there needs to be an extensive in depth investigation into the response to the pandemic when it ends....From the WHO, to the CDC, to the Trump administrations response, to how other nations responded, etc....As mentioned in another thread, similar in scope, size, length, etc. as the 911 commission.

The WHO could definitely have handled things better. However, Trump ignored them anyway. Trying to divert blame to an organization you ignored anyway is desperate and pathetic.

An organization whose core mission is to better public health was as flat-footed as a first term no-experience President in response to this pandemic crisis.

I'm ok with that.

Trump ignored them anyway

Very similar to the good percentage of people who are still traveling & ignoring the social distancing requests?

True. Plus some people were originally mislead about the seriousness of the situation and continue to hold onto those initial beliefs.

trump has endangered the lives of millions of Americans [and livelihoods] with his lack of preparation and stunning ignorance, stupid statements. Mad

The “lack of preparation” lies with the States which have the responsibility for public health.

The Federal Government comes in when the States are not able to adequately provide for their citizens.

President Trump has met his responsibility and performed tremendously.

Even after the Chinese Communist Party stated that the virus could not be transmitted person to person and the WHO supported that lie President Trump stepped up and banned all travel to and from China where the virus originated.

Wrong again, Bot Boy....Your script is getting pretty tired and predictable.

As usual, the president is trying to change the narrative when things aren't going his way. Just shut up and do your job. If The WHO dropped the ball, then deal with it when it's appropriate.

Tom Cotton is right: Investigate WHO sympathies for communist China

by Kaylee McGhee
April 09, 2020 04:32 PM

The World Health Organization has now resorted to threatening those who call out its shameful regurgitation of Chinese communist propaganda.

“If you don’t want any more body bags, you must refrain from politicizing [the coronavirus],” said WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus on Wednesday. “Please quarantine politicizing COVID.”

The WHO deserves every ounce of criticism it’s received for its role in the coronavirus pandemic.

Questioning whether the world would have been better prepared had the WHO not fallen for China’s misinformation campaign isn’t political, and it isn’t unimportant. In fact, it’s absolutely necessary if we are to understand what went wrong and how to prevent it from happening again.

Thankfully, there are a growing number of public officials willing to stand up to the WHO. Sen. Tom Cotton, an Arkansas Republican, is one of them.

“I’m disgusted by that kind of threat from some two-bit, third-rate, international bureaucrat,” Cotton told Fox News. “That’s why Dr. Tedros needs to be fired, and frankly, he needs to be investigated so we can find out just how deeply in China’s pocket he is.”

Cotton has been wrong about a lot of things, but he was right about the coronavirus in January, and he’s right about the WHO now. Instead of demanding accurate information from China, the WHO foolishly parroted the communist regime’s talking points, claiming human-to-human contact would not facilitate the spread of the virus and reporting China’s COVID-19 numbers as fact when it was obvious the regime was lying. The organization also refused to recognize scientific data from Taiwan because China does not view Taiwan as a legitimate nation.

The question is: Why? Why does the WHO refuse to hold China accountable when it is clear the communist regime is responsible for the origination and the subsequent cover-up of this pandemic? Why appease China when the regime’s dishonesty and manipulation has cost the world so much?
These questions deserve answers, and it’s time the rest of the world starts demanding them.

NBC faces mass backlash after touting China's coronavirus numbers to contrast with US
www.foxnews.com

NBC News faced a wave of accusations that it was doing the Chinese government's bidding by tweeting on Tuesday that it had not reported coronavirus deaths while the U.S. saw more than 1,000 overnight.

"U.S. reports 1,264 coronavirus deaths in over 24 hours. Meanwhile in China, where the pandemic broke out, not a single new coronavirus death was reported," the tweet read.

Skepticism about China’s numbers has swirled throughout the crisis, fueled by official efforts to quash bad news in the early days and a general distrust of the government. Long lines of people waiting to collect the ashes of loved ones at funeral homes revived the debate.
MSNBC ANCHOR CONFRONTS RUBIO ON COMMENT ABOUT JOURNALISTS FINDING 'GLEE' IN SPIKING US CORONAVIRUS CASES

"NBC bought it. Hook, line and sinker. Well done China. Well done," former White House press secretary Ari Fleischer tweeted.

NBC REPORTER CRITICIZED OVER ARTICLE TOUTING CHINA AS 'GLOBAL LEADER' IN CORONAVIRUS RESPONSE

"NBC goes all-in on communist propaganda," conservative commentator Dan Bongino said. The controversy came after a tense exchange in which MSNBC anchor Stephanie Ruhle pressed Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., on his criticism of journalists using China's numbers.

"Some in our media can’t contain their glee & delight in reporting that the U.S. has more #CoronaVirus cases than #China," Rubio tweeted last week. "Beyond being grotesque, its bad journalism We have NO IDEA how many cases China really has but without any doubt its
significantly more than why they admit to." The tweet received plenty of backlash but Rubio stood by his statement during his MSNBC interview.

Ruhle seemed incredulous when she asked Rubio about this tweet. “I need to ask you this, because I’m a journalist. We’re not just some personalities. You called out journalism. And I need to understand why on earth you did this," she said.

Rubio previously tweeted out a series of posts that showed media figures mocking the administration and America's interest in being "Number 1." He also indicated to Ruhle that journalists were threatening U.S. national security by repeating Chinese "propaganda."

NBC previously faced backlash for an article suggesting that China was emerging as a "global leader" during the pandemic. The article, titled "As U.S. struggles to stem coronavirus, China asserts itself as global leader," starts by highlighting Chinese aid to Italy.

"With Italy in dire need of medical equipment, an economic superpower stepped in to help. No, not the United States," the article read. "It was China."

NBC did not immediately respond to Fox News' request for comment.

There is no smoking gun pointing to a cover-up by China’s ruling Communist Party. But intentional or not, there is reason to believe that more people died of COVID-19 than the official tally. In a classified report released to the White House, three U.S. intelligence officers concluded that China has concealed the extent of the coronavirus outbreak in its country, underreporting both total cases and fatalities from the disease. Bloomberg, which first wrote about the report, cited the officers who said they alerted the White House to Beijing's misleading numbers. Two of the three sources called the numbers flat-out fake.

Fox News' Barnini Chakraborty and The Associated Press contributed to this report.

Anyone know why NBC News parrots the Commie China propaganda?
NBC/Universal is owned by Comcast.
Comcast is in business with the Chinese Government and has deep financial ties to China where the virus originated.

Come on Bot Boy, come up with something is little less obviously written to coddle dear leader....Tom Cotton? Really? He's objective?

China population is 1.4 billion yet if they are to be believed, the number of dead is very low. that statistic on its own is suspicious.
Throw in the lack of outbreaks in Beiijing or Shanghai where they cook in the streets and wash pots and pans into the sewer a few blocks from the 4 seasons, its remarkable.

I think Marco is spot on with his analysis and criticism of the way NBC and MSNBC are spinning it.

Yet my "script" is factually correct.

So you acknowledge your use of a script. Or whatever it is you are suggesting by quoting the word "script", that the troll farm allows you to craft your own propaganda within their guidelines.

Again the facts show your political agenda based comments foolish.

Go back to fake news and find out how you are to think.

"Political agenda based comments foolish". "How you are to think"? Nobody talks like that. Telling you guys, this is not written by a native English speaker - read it aloud in a monotone Russian accent. . This is an operative assigned to this forum.

Why the obsession with "agenda"? That is propaganda-speak. We argue all day here, but nobody accuses anyone of "agendas". Reducing folks' opinions to "agenda" is a way of undermining free thought.

This guy is the ONLY poster here with an "agenda".

As I've said since he arrived here...Soon enough he'll return with some other screen name. He's not alone in here as there's other's that use similar syntax and bland nonspecific word speak. It's very obvious if you're mindful of the simplicity of it.

I've no doubt China isn't entirely on the up and up.....But clearly Trump isn't either and hasn't been since November when he was made aware of the dangers of this pandemic.

Which is why Rubio and the rest of the Trumpies have no credibility....If they were concerned about truth and accountability they'd be demanding it of the president and his administration as well as from China. But no, they defend him with spin and deflection of their own.

All because they're spineless and afraid of Trump. So shut up Marco, or grow a sack and stand up to dear leader.

I literally skip over any post I see from him. It's automatic in my brain to just act as though it isn't even there. Especially the long rambling posts....just all mindless gibberish. Like skipping through the sh*tty track on a CD as soon as you hear the first note.

I used to do that too....But now I just call it out for the bot he/she/it is....I'm bored so what the hell?

I think he/she/it is on the junior varsity team and isn't up to snuff enough to get the Facebook account and so he/she/it is relegated to a small minor website that is this site.

Not that this site is minor in our minds, but to Russian, Israeli, Syrian, Iranian, Saudi or Chinese intelligence it most likely is.

I think what happened was it got in trouble for getting personally involved here - we turned the tables and it gave us some hilarious displays of fury. A couple which were deleted by the webmaster before I got to enjoy them. Just went OFF on me! Anyone catch those? A year of monotone drone then KABLOOEY, FLIPOUT! Blew cover. So it had to go away for over a year then come creeping back. It will fail and freak out again, you can see it is already straining at the end of its leash. It hates us all.

It is fun to psych-out the psy-ops.

I did notice it....It seems it gets frustrated when called out for what it is....

Yeah true, but if you check the 1972 foto you can see Slob was already pretty soft. Lifetime tendency.

He was kinda miffed in that pic - his bellbottoms shrunk in the wash and his shoes were showing. He also couldn't stand the kid on the left, who was the guitarist in their little combo, "The Cossacks" ("The Sacks" for short) and got all the girls. Slob was the bass player. That kid's name was Kareem Anyerfaiz, a Muslim from the poor side of the tracks in Sarajevo. Kareem's parents did not know he was playing rock and roll with his Serbian friends. Slobovich got the last laugh however, he later made sure Kareem and his extended family were wiped out during the ethnic cleansing.

😛 Cool Grin You're on a roll, Brer. The story you shared above has the makings of a VH1 Behind the Music episode...

Funny how you like to blame the WHO when Trump already knows more than everyone else and likes to ignore warnings anyway. Am I the only one who knew about the virus and was reading about what was happening in Wuhan in mid-December? I read many articles about it, and so did my wife well before New Years Eve. Maybe it was because I was about to travel to Asia and was keeping track of the protest situation, but it was all over Asian media. I would hope somebody in the Trump administration or intelligence community would have known at least as much about the situation as I did. It was no secret. I left for Hong Kong on December 20, and was well aware of the situation at least a week before we left (certainly by December 14 and I believe earlier). Regardless of when China told the WHO, the English language versions of Asian MSM knew and were reporting it. If we didn't know, then it was incompetence at the highest level and the president may need to find additional news sources other than Fox News.
