Two seven year old kids are fighting, neighbors to each other. One of the kids is yours. The kid that is not yours is way laying your kid, with a baseball bat...just hitting the living * out of your kid...whopping him up and down, your kids on the ground doing everything he can do to keep from getting hit. So, do you go get your kid a bat to even the whallup power or do you take the bat away from the kid that's kicking the * out of yours ?

As I approach the scene I am calling 911....My Son's safety is priority one and I am going to put myself between the two of them. The score can be settled at another time; right now the Police are on the way and the kid with the bat has a real problem on his hands.

But the kid has a bat and would start hitting you with it as you try to wedge yourself between them. Sure 911 will subdue him and put a stop to it, but what do you do while he's swinging at you?

Disarm him like I would attempt to do to anyone trying to harm me or someone I love.

If he is swinging at someone else then his back is exposed, knock him down. If he sees you coming and is swinging at you then he's not hitting your kid. dodge, back off, tell your kid to move away while you take the heat. Then leave. Kid comes after you then grab a garbage can lid and do an Oddjob on the punk, or whatever you can. Or just run off, it's just a kid with a bat.

Kid's name wouldn't be Negan by any chance, would it?

You can take the bat away from the attacker, but what about next time when it isn't in your yard, and the 7 year old neighbor does it again? One would hope that the parents of said 7 year old neighbor would take immediate actions so that the kid would never do it again, but unfortunately the parenting of others isn't always up to the standards we would like. I would want my kid to do the best he could to avoid situations where he would find himself potentially being attacked by that kid again. But if worst case scenario were to happen again, I would want my kid to also be prepared on how to either escape the situation or defend himself. I just had this image pop in my head:

Do whatever it takes to save your child from harm. I'll spend time dealing with a jury rather than planning my child's funeral or intense medical care.

Thanks to conservatives, millions of angry liberal millenials, who never worked a day in their life, will have easy access to AR-15’s before ever having to use a broom or fire a handgun. Brilliant! What could go wrong? At any rate, we’ll give them the guns and clean up the blood later.

millions of angry liberal millenials

The problem is this "What makes anyone angry enough to seek out a Gun as a means of 'solution' "?

But it is not a Mental health issue.

A myriad of reasons I suppose.

But it is not a Mental health issue.

Says who? I hear both sides acknowledging that it’s a combination of a lot of things. It’s a gun issue, a mental health issue, a communication breakdown issue, a legal issue, it’s all these things. If you are leading up to blame liberals, save your time.

Any of them have merit?

Sure. If someone is angry that their neighbor was murdered in a home invasion, buying a gun as a solution would have merit IMO.
