As harsh as this sounds, you should be given compassionate care if you get sick but the resources to save jailbirds will have to be limited- white collar or celebrity criminals like Hillarys best friend Harvey included. Life is harsh. The last thing we should do is listen to those who want to release convicted felons back into society during a pandemic. That seems reckless. In a perfect world the prison population could be used to make masks and other supplies for themselves and the needy and get some recognition and time off their sentence.

Maybe let out non violent non crazy prisoners just have a compassionate release program.
Keep the murderers and rapists, violent assault, prisoners in there. Do a proper assessment of armed robbery prisoners if they robbed because of poverty let them out. Drug crime prisoners can be let out and sent for counseling, they can change.
Serial murderers, serial rapists no. They cannot be released.
On the lighter side - inmates are waaaay ahead of everybody else on the whole "self-quarantine" thing! 😉

Here's a SERIOUS idea: the government should mail every American 2 rolls of toilet paper per week. You simply cannot count on being able to pick up a roll or two during your regularly scheduled grocery shopping trip. To get the prized paper you have to be present when the store opens up the day after the truck comes. Be sure to wear rubber gloves and full roller derby gear. It ain't for the faint of heart.
